To future & present parents like myself this message is for you to alert and advice you if you kid receives services that fall under IEP (Individualized Education Program) please for the sake of your child education look over and read every part of it. I know is a lot! I had both of my daughters in speech therapy, and I’m sharing my experience as a warning. However, is important for you to READ every part of it for the reason how it is worded by the speech pathologist and educational diagnostician are AWARE of students weakness and difficulties and yet the committee (Assistant's principal, case manager, diagnostician, and the two above staff) decides the student is "no longer meet the criteria" for services. If you disagree with these decisions, you have options! Like myself went down to the district office and spoke to lead and her supervisor. Don’t hesitate to advocate for your child’s education. It's so disappointed to actually have to pay attention to every single detail for the reason the above staff here in this school will cover their rudeness and uncalled comments for one another. Staff PLAYS a crucial ROLE in your child's education and has a significant IMPACT on the school experience.PAY ATTENTION PARENTS!!! This Staff is verbally and unprofessional unexperienced. Look for a better school!

Bullying seems to be a big issue that this school refuses to adresss, we went through almost three years of bullying. Physical and emotional! After no resolution and even having the asst principal refuse to even speak to me I removed my child and homeschooled her. Their solution is always to remove the victim and never the problem bully themselves! She misses her friends the most but her safety is always my top priority!

School administration does not care about the safety and well being of their students. They have some absolutely wonderful teachers but every year there seems to be less. Unfortunately administration’s and majority of staff’s lack of concern for students leaves me saying if you care seek better.

My child has been physically assaulted 3 times by the same bully. He was slapped the first time choked with his hood the second time (that left a physical mark for 2 days) and punched in the eye the third time. You would think … simple fix just remove the bully. But no the school told us today 12-1-22 the incidents stated above are not enough to remove the bully. Being slapped, choked and punched in the eye is not enough to remove the violet child from the classroom. They are deciding to be reactive instead of a proactive on this which so obviously shows that the safety of our children is not a priority of theirs. The options we have been given is to punish our child (the victim) by removing him from a teacher and classmates he loves or sending him to school everyday scared he will be further abused by a bully that terrorizes him and his other classmates almost everyday.

Failure as people who work in education system, a 10 years old child have been running them like her slaves , teachers are crying that AP or the Principle itself don’t do anything, for the last 2 years they had me leave message and never called back, today I managed to talk to front desk 4 times within 30 minutes and they failed to even get anywhere with me, They told my wife if she don’t leave the call CFISD police, so I begged them to do so when I’m going there, but now that I think about it, these people in this location don’t even worth of a time of any parents or students for that matter, failure to be not only professionals but simple workers in their line of duty I’m disappointed to see workers like that failing miserably our Children and the Education system…I hope no other parents or child goes through what we dealt with, and if you are, don’t feel bad as you’re not alone, this is their system of work at this location. That’s all folks

My sister had an ok time at this school, and the kids are pretty diverse. Its a great place to go but the construction has me on edge, why have construction while kids are on school.

My daughter has spent this year in the 5th grade, and we have had an horrible experience. Long term assignments are given to the students, with no parent notification until a few days before the assignment is due! Grades miraculously appear because assignments hardly ever make it home. The only time you really have a clue as to your child's grades is progress report or report card, and by that time it is to late. The few activities they do offer at the school through out the year, we hardly attended due to the fact that the notifications would come home after the event. Administration always seem to busy to discuss anything with you at all, and are always in a hurry to do what appears to be nothing. DO NOT SEND YOUR STUDENT HERE unless you have time to be at the school everyday, playing private "I" in Mission Impossible.

My son is a 3rd grader at Hancock Elem. This year has been terrible! There is a huge problem with bullying in this school. My son has been bullied in the classroom, recess, bathroom, and even on the bus. The Asst. Principal says she addresses the issues, but then less than a week later another bullying issue occurs. The bus staff doesn't care at all. The administration and teachers are not doing a good job of supervising and giving consequences to the bullies. As far as academics the 2nd and 3rd grade teachers are not doing a good job. My son was getting D's and still not put into tutorials. I had to push to get him in. So far the only teacher that has been great was my sons 1st grade teacher. I'm very unhappy with this school. I have a high schooler that use to attend here and it was not so great then...now it's going down fast! Parent involvement is very low at this school too. It's bad all around!

This school is horrible! Communication is NOT a specialty for this school!! Coming from a whole new state and school, my children and I were completely lost. I tried to talk to the principal about my concern and she pushed me along and told me to contact her staff for assistance. My children both have been lost and confused in their assignments and what is expected of them. They used to be on honor roll. I have emailed, called, gone to the school and exhausted my limits with this school, I am even in the PTO and it doesn't even make a difference. They only care about making money not about the children or making things easy for the children. DISGUSTING!!! I don't know how their test scores are so good when the way they communicate and teach are so bad. Wish I never moved into this district!

This is the second year my children have attended Hancock. They teachers are very attentive and concern. My children are currently learning sign language, and Hancock currently has deaf student and have translaters in class, so it is really pushing them to dive into the new language they are being taught at home. Overall good school and hope that they can finish at Hancock!
