My siblings went to this school, and I just finished my internship for my education degree here last semester. I have volunteered at a lot of elementary schools for my education and this one by far is my favorite. There is a strong sense of home and community, and you can tell the teachers put their heart into their classrooms. I will be graduating soon and I am hoping they welcome me in as well.

Awesome. I will not move out of their attendance zone.

Excellent! Both of my kids went to Moore for all of their years. They had an awesome experience. They have so many different things that parents can also get involved in. I could not have asked for a better school for my children to attend. We still talk about our days at Moore!

We came from another cyfair isd school.. I had high hopes in the beginning. The school is not organized. The first day my kids did not eat breakfast. They are in club rewind, my kids were told to sit there and wait for someone. No one came until it was time for all kids to go to class. My kids would come out from different back doors every day. I would walk them home everyday. My son is a 1st grader, his class eats @11am, and they have no snacks. They are young, and use a lot of energy so of course they will get hungry. I'm putting my kids back at their old school even if I pay the transfer fee.

We're new to the area and was a bit skeptic about Moore at first, because I was comparing ratings with Hamilton Elementary, which is down the street. I have a 3rd grader at Moore and PK at Hamilton, so I was comparing a 10 school against a 9 school. Let me tell you that the ratings should be reversed. Moore Elementary is by far a 10+ school. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. My son feels safe and at ease at the school, the staff communicates well with parents and their front office is well organized. They have an amazing Adaptive Behavior Center for children that need that extra help to succeed in the mainstream classroom and Mrs. Long who oversees this program is the most professional and excellent teacher I have ever met. She gives the structure and discipline required to make all her kids successful and ready to transition back to the mainstream classroom. The administrative staff is genuinely display a sincere concern for your child's success. I definitely recommend this school for anyone relocation to the NW part of Houston. Moore is the standard-bearer of elementary schools in the CY-FAIR ISD.

There are some really fabulous teachers at this school. Ones that are able to recognize how each child learns and implement techniques suited to his or her individual needs. Most of the teachers really seem to care about the students, and it is obvious that teaching is a passion. Regarding parent involvement, unfortunately this has been on a steep decline recently. Perhaps it is because many of the active volunteers children graduated to middle school. Or. as in my case, I developed burnout from not being appreciated for a lot of hard work. How hard is it to say thank you? As for the principal, I wish I had something positive to say about her. (No, my children have never been to the principal's office, except for a reward.) She is one who likes to change things just for the sake of changing things~ even if it is for the worse. She must be very intelligent, but she doesn't have a lot of common sense and is incapable of recognizing when her changes aren't working. First time we met, she was giddy that the students liked her outfit. Really? Priorities... It is a good school, you just may feel a bit like you stepped through an Orwellian portal when you walk through the front door.

We just moved here from Louisiana. My son is doing really well in this school. The teachers were very quick to recognize him as a gifted/talented candidate. I'm impressed with the content and pace he is learning even after switching from a private school in Louisiana. Open concept takes some getting used to, but the teachers do a great job closing up the rooms with cabinets and dividers. He seems to have the sweetest teachers in the world who have been in the district for a long time. High teacher retention at this school.
