My oldest child is in 5th grade at Yeager. We transferred from another city due to jobs. Her special education teachers (especially Ms. Zepeda) and her homeroom reading teacher (Ms. Garcia) have helped her thrive this year! We feel so blessed to have found the right school for our daughter who is Dyslexic and struggles with reading and writing. If you have a child who needs special education, then this is a great school for you.

This school is horrible. I cannot wait to withdraw my children from the school immediately after moving to a new home. This school is money hungry. If you have a child of color or a child that shows any sign of needing extra help. They immediately began to plot on your child’s behavior. Purposely mistreating them and allowing other children to mistreat them to provoke misbehavior to fill up files of disruption so they can place them in Special Education. Once this occurs the school receives more money. They have fundraisers every month. For what? They receive an extensive amount of funds from the government. In fact so much to where all students don’t pay for lunch. If you send your kids to school with lunch money, it might as well be a donation. I hate this school. It should be a crime and all staff should be reprimanded and placed under investigation. I hate this school for treating my kids unfairly.

I’ve had two children go to Yeager. They both loved it and learned so much. The environment and teachers were great.

My child was truly miserable here. Open concept is terrible. My child spent two years here and regressed in every area. The best decision we ever made was to move out of this district and away from this school. I have a child thriving in a neighboring district, finally loving school and she no longer has to sit through Yeager's silent lunch periods and endure an unhappy school environment. If you have a choice, just don't send your kid here. Trust me.

I am so happy with the school.The cafeteria is the only complain but I pack lunch for my son every day. Nevertheless will be nice to see real healthy options low sugar in the menu.

My mother has worked at this school 20+years, I myself went here, my little brother went here and now my daughter goes here. Every teacher my daughter has had at this school is always updating me on her grades/behavior and school events. All around great staff!

I received a letter from Principal that my daughter missed 10 days of school with a reminder of the student code. I was shocked because I received a call 3 times this year from the nurse that my daughter is feeling sick and having fever where I have to keep her home for another next24hr. In addition as a parents we are both having full time job and whenever my daughter is not feeling well we kept her home and we had to struggle with that arrangement because we didn't want other kids get sick.Most of the flu or any virus my daughter carries it from kids at school..Moreover, I sent note to the attendance office every time my daughter missed school with an explanation.So where is the justification of sending letter to parents without checking records....

Horrible is a nice word for my experience with this school. They only seem to care about funding not the needs of the children. They always want to blame the parents or the child when the reality is they need to look at themselves.

My daughter loved school and love to read. Her reading improved so much over the summer (2013). However, since she started Yeager (September 2013), she started having self-esteem issues, from the first day of school they had a negative report in her binder, if she sits, stand, moved an inch to the left or right they complained. They stated we're working together but they have never included our input. She started doing poorly especially in reading, which I found odd. Whenever, I asked them about her academics they changed the subject back to behavior; they stated don t worry about the academics let us focus on the day to day behavior . This left me in awe because we're on the second grading period. I left a message for the principal/vice principal regarding her academics, six weeks later no one returned my call. The vice principal called me on 1/17/13 for the first time, again it was regarding behavior, I tried to voice my concerns, she accused me of raising my voice, and spoke to me as if I had a grade two education. I wonder about the great review here, because my experience at Yeager made me feel as if my daughter and I had stepped back 50 years.

Just send your kid to somewhere else. It is overcrowded, open plan school with lots of flaws
