We LOVE Holden elementary! It is a small neighborhood school where your child will be known by all staff. The principal, Todd Poole, is the best. I’m so grateful for him. Our son has some medical needs so we’ve had lots of opportunity to get to know the staff and teachers well. This is a really good school.

When we first moved to this school I was a little nervous as to how my son would get along with the staff and students. He has attention issues and can require a great deal of help staying on task. It took us a while to adjust to the differences from his previous school, but by the 2nd half of the year he was doing much better and half of the staff (including teachers he hasn't had) knew his name. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help out where needed. They really are like a family and my son loves Mrs. Troman, the principal. I am so greatful that they take the time to adjust their plans as needed in order to help the children feel comfortable and reach their full potential.

Holden Elementary has so much spirit. I work with the students and teachers in the garden they made. The children are so engaged and attentive. The teachers are supportive and encourage the children to learn. The secretary, custodian and cafeteria personnel have gone out of their way to do their part in making the garden a success.

Holden is an amazing school. The principle, teachers and staff are fantastic. There is great communication both within the school and with parents, a family like atmosphere, and all of the teachers seem to love what they do, going above and beyond the parameters of their "job". We are outside of the "Holden district" in Kent and still choose to send our kids because of how fantastic this school is.

I went to Holden when I was a kid-now I'm 31 and I still have fond memories of my 3 years there. I still remember my kindergarden teacher Mrs. Mitroff. It is a great school with great teachers.
