Outstanding Academic program with caring teachers. A variety of electives and AP courses available to students, great sports and clubs for students to participate in. One of our kids is on their way to an Ivy League acceptance with the help of wonderful teachers. The only sad issue which needs to be addressed more closely is the bullying. It happens often and many times the target the of bullying has to pay the same consequence of the offender.

Excellent. Parent input and participation is encouraged. The leadership and teachers view parents as partners, not adversaries.

TERRIBLE!! My son has been harassed by Administration so much over the last month, that he has decided to quit school. I have had many conversations with the AP as well as the Dean and to no avail. His teachers adore and support him, but otherwise, he cannot be pushed to the very edge every time Administration gives out conflicting information.

The administration is cruel and unfair to their students. The rules are too strict, especially the dress code. Their food is disgusting and unhealthy. And overall many of the kids look miserable in class.

Administration is absurd - quick to issue punishment, slow to recognize and correct problems, even slower to recognize good behavior and achievement other than on EOCs. They make it quite clear to parents that they are NOT a partner in their kids' education. There's even a new campaign posted to Facebook to get parents to take action, so I know I'm not the only one who feels this way... Very frustrating to try to keep my kids motivated to do well when they're only told they don't.

The biggest problem with this school is that the school does not recognize a good student when it has one. my son has been in the school system since kindergarten, and has been on a path to graduate high school with a 2 year college degree since 6th grade. he did it! Only one in his class to do so.wants to go on to become a electrical engineer. He was not even invited to scholarship night? school ranking of 120? weighted GPA 5.8? this school system is really messed up! it only works if you take the easy classes so you can have a normal 4.0, do not study too hard or you will not get any scholarships!

Jensen beach high school students are not bad, the problem are the teachers and deans. Teachers are meant to help you motivate you to do something not to bring you down and embarrass you in front of others when you have done something wrong. The school looks really well coming but that's the look to get students.Yes there are some good thing about these school, there welcoming and SOME teachers are willing to help out with what you need. The kids will welcome you and no one will be left alone as far as I know. Deans will not give a thought about suspending or expel you or give you detention, They never try to remember teachers are just human after all HUMAN'S ARE NOT ALWAYS RIGHT.

Jensen Beach High School exceeds any and all expectations I had as a parent. Yes, there are very strict dress codes and codes of conduct, a school this large wouldn't be rated in the top 2000 schools in the US if it didn't! My kids are excelling academically as well as socially! Can't praise this school enough!

Jensen Beach High school is the Best! all 3 of of my children love it. I was concered at first, making a change from a small Christian School, but they are all making good grades and they are happy to be there. :) I am very thankful that we have such a great school in Martin County.

I can't give this school one star. (The site will not allow no stars) The administration treats staff and students like inmates. Their zero tolerations shows no compassion for students especially those with special needs. How many of us would still have jobs or a partner if everyone had zero toleration. Their special needs programs are a joke. No one can hope to benefit from this place. The community and parents need to let them know we are sick of their disrespect and do not approve of their policies or the administration.

We moved from another state and my child has never had a detention or suspension. One month after school starting 4 days Out of school suspension and 4 detentions later I question the school, not the child since there has never been any previous disciplinary issues!! I think 4 classes a day 100 min long is nonsense. I also think the main focus is on discipline not academics. The deans are quick to suspend and give suspensions and detentions for stupid reasons like not having your student ID on your person. They do not encourage a work program nor do they allow seniors to leave campus during study hall. If we were looking for a military school I would have sent my child to one.

One of the best schools I have ever been to. You can tell that the teachers and staff really care about the students. :)

This school is rated as an "A" school. The faculty must be doing something right. There will always be whiney parents who complains if their child is not doing well...or Mary wasn't elected to the cheerleading team. I would do away with your rating system. How do you know if some of the poor ratings are being submitted by teens who just don't make the grade because they don't want to put sufficient time into their studies?

My children are districted for Martin County HS, but we chose Jensen Beach HS because we consider it a better school. Yes, the facilities are much nicer, but that's just the beginning. The administrators and teachers at JBHS expect, not just hope, that students will excel. The teachers are top notch and really push the students to succeed. My daughter struggled in middle school but now is exceeding our wildest dreams in high school. She has a 4.0 GPA with all honors and AP classes. She's passed two AP exams and did very well on her PSATs. Now she plans to go to an Ivy. Our son will be starting in the Fall. As for the rules, kids who follow them have few problems with them. They like the strictness of the school. It gives them order and prepares them for real life. JBHS is also the safest school in the county.

As a parent with 2 children in this school, I know that this is an "A" school! The teachers, staff and administration are a delight and pleasure on a daily basis. I have personally seen the swim coach tutor a student immediately after swim practice on the pool deck, that's dedication! My son is in Mrs. Dahn's ( teacher of the year '08) class and the dedication and time devoted to her differently-abled students is beyond compare! If any parent has any complaints about this school, they should move to 'The PSizzle' where they will fit right in!

Although this school consistently has high ratings there are issues. If you student is even upwind of any disciplinary problems by other students expect detention without even the chance to explain yourself. I find administration has zero tolerance and while this may work well for their high ratings it sends a message of injustice and unfairness to those wrongly accused. I also agree with the reviewer about dress code. Although my child has graduated from this school I don't have any warm fuzzy feelings about it.
