If you want your children to be taught by kind, wise, gentle, women who've dedicated their lives to childcare; Peter Rabbit in Carmel is the place. They may never have all the shinny new features of other schools, but the bones and methodology are unmatched. Our oldest son experienced other highly endorsed programs first, unfortunately. You're welcome to judge for yourself, but I encourage you to weigh heavily experience over funding. While visiting my youngest son at lunch today, two women accompanied their daughters to lunch, and shared they'd both attended the same Peter Rabbit preschool and had the same teachers when they were toddlers.

Peter Rabbit Nursery School is the best preschool on the north side of Indy. (Note: This is NOT the same business as Peter Rabbit Daycare, which closed.) It is truly a traditional preschool, not a daycare in disguise. The director is wonderful, and has made it her life's work to give little ones the best possible start to their education. The teachers are all top-notch, with a low student-teacher ratio. This preschool stresses academics, with 1 on 1 attention in a variety of subjects. Students learn basic math, letters, numbers, etc while also having plenty of time for creative arts and free play inside and outside. Safety is important to the teachers. We have sent all 3 of our kids to Peter Rabbit and they have been very well prepared for kindergarten and 1st grade. They have far exceeded some of their classmates who attended other preschools.
