A wonderful school and community. Both my children have thrived thanks to the amazing teachers and principle.

I had high hopes for this school. I assumed the negative reviews were just a few bad eggs wanting to take revenge. My advice to any parent thinking of sending their child to this school is run..don't walk but run! Believe the bad reviews - they are true. The communication with the staff is great ( so long as you don't question them on the validity) they will not tell you what is actually going on with your child or in the classrooms. Terrible place - worst parental mistake we ever made!

My child has been attending since kindergarten she is so happy with small school, friendly, safe and comfortable environment. As an only child she thoroughly enjoys being a buddy to a preschooler and has been getting great grades all along. As a single mom the parents at St. Paul's have been very accommodating and sensitive to my busy lifestyle . St. Paul's has been the best decision I ever made to suit my daughter and I.

Unfortunately new leadership has not set this school in a positive direction. A child's success rate is high if they don't act like a child and their parent is high ranking in the PTO clique. Communication horrible at all levels except if you can spend all day in PTO meetings, lunch duty, etc. Working parents should stay away, you'll be shunned. Early education levels are the worst, especially due to a Kindergarten teacher who is widely complained about and very harsh to be teaching 5 year olds and principal fully supports this as "Catholic teaching". New preschool program takes needed resources away from Pre-k and after kindergarten there's a mass exodus for public school.

SPS is a hidden gem. I doubt there is another elementary school on the South Shore with as impressive a record (especially given its small size). SPS students whom I've known in the last few years have gone on to be high school valedictorians, student government presidents, captains of high-profile athletic teams, leads in high school plays, parish Eucharistic ministers, lectors and CCD teachers, founders of social justice organizations, and, not to be sneezed at -- all-around great kids!! SPS students score very well on high school entrance exams, as evidenced by the high percentage of SPS 8th-graders who receive merit scholarships to Catholic high schools every year. Recent SPS students have also gained admittance to other highly selective private schools, such as Milton Academy, BB&N, Nobles & Greenough, BU Academy, and Commonwealth School. - But the very best part of SPS is the confidence and joy my children feel because they've been taught by talented, dedicated teachers who, together with the whole SPS community, have helped them to know and love God. Thank you, St. Paul School!

Wonderful school! We moved our child here this year from the public school system, and we couldn't be happier! The academics are far superior, teachers are kind, yet enforce discipline, and the families and students are wonderful! I HIGHLY recommend this school if you are looking for great academics, wonderful teachers, and great students!

This school has been a frustrating on many levels. First the curriculum was sold as high caliber but after comparing it to what is being taught in the local public school it is clearly behind in content level. Secondly the teachers and adminstration weren't particularly responsive when we reached out to discuss our child's progress. Lastly we have heard from local Catholic high schools that children from St. Paul's weren't scoring well on entrance exams and struggling after admittance. Think parents should explore all other available options before sending their kids to his school.

My wife and I recommend Saint Paul School for the academic excellence, commitment to values, and strong community feel. We did not intend to pursue a Catholic education for our children, but were so impressed with the students we met at SPS as well as the staff, that we decided we wanted our children to be a part of all the great happenings at the school. The students are kind and respectful to others and care about others' well being. The parent community is terrific as well. SPS offers the whole package. I highly recommend this school. We could not be happier.

St Paul is a small ementary school offering a village style, community faith filled, enriching environment, with a sound educational curriculum. It is a place where love and respect of God, neighbor and self are demonstrated among the students every day. St Paul is a place where the children attend school in a nuturing atmosphere feeling safe, while growing spiritually, academically and socially. One of my children graduated and gained a great education while making lasting friendships which she still maintains. Another of my children attends now also with positive experience. It is such a wonderful feeling to feel the freedom of being able to pray together as a community and celebrate and acknowledge the religious events that have provided so much of the foundation of society. I say a prayer of thanks that my children were able to attend this school.

Our daughter Ciara, attended pre-school with Mrs. O and Mrs. Lag last year and loved it. We did too. She had a wonderful time learning and playing. We cannot say enough good things about Mrs. O, she is so caring and loving of each child and is a wonderful teacher. Mrs. Lag too is wonderful and had a special connection with each child. The warmth each showed the children really fostered a wonderfully enriching learning environment. As a family, we really enjoyed all Saint Paul's had to offer, the education as well as the wonderful sense of community. There were a lot of events throughout the year to go to and enjoy. We particularly liked the fun run, the harvest dance and the St. Patrick's Day show. My parents were blown away with the grandparents appreciation day and the breakfast they were served. It truly was a wonderful year and we are looking forward to Ciara going into kindergarten in a few weeks.

St Paul School has been a wonderful place for my 4 children to grow in all dimensions. Parents need to understand the mission, that is to educate the children academically but also in love of God, neighbor and self. They do that for a very competitive price considering the cost of education locally is $10,000+ (thank you great teachers for the sacrifice you make to work in Catholic ed!). Some parents want common core, some do not; some want strong discipline, some do not; some want serious Catholic dogma taught, some do not; it is a hard job to make everyone happy. Our children are part of a warm, supportive environment where children know all the parents and parents know all the children. It has allowed my kids to stay "young" while having rigorous academics, access to technology, leadership opportunities, the arts and, most importantly, daily prayer and celebration of God. They are growing in their understanding of their place in the world around them, have a commitment to srevice and real gratitude for all their blessings. The world gets complicated these days and knowing St. Paul is our partner in raising great kids, has been a source of comfort.

St Paul School is a place for exceptional people. In an era when many public and private schools have forgotten the message of responsibility, community and excellence, this school is embracing and advancing next generation education. My children learn and thrive in an environment of discipline and respect for others that no other school in this area can equal. Continually updated coursework with a vast array of experiential learning opportunities, new technology initiatives and a thoughtful curriculum have allowed my children to thrive and excel in an environment of faith and focus. St Paul s provides a great diversity of special course work, clubs and extracurricular activities for my children. They have built friendships for life here. Every teacher and staff member knows them. My children are encouraged, engaged, challenged and excited to go to school every day. At the end of the day, every parent should reflect on the growth of their child. St Paul s is growing young girls and boys into young women and men who strive for excellence and are conscious and respectful of others. We are proud to be affiliated with such a caring and devoted school. Thank you SPS.

No one sets out to be a bad teacher, but with only one teacher per grade at St. Paul Elementary School the chances of getting a great one is stacked against you. Our experience with a teacher includes outdated learning perspectives, inappropriate methods of discipline, refusal to communicate timely and effectively with both students and parents a general lack of teaching experience overall. Additionally, the condescending and poor leadership style coupled with unprofessional and unsolicited comments by the school principal created a difficult and negative environment. The PTO does put on a good show and makes an effort, but many involved are incredibly cliquish which is hypocritical given the religious setting. Bottom line: Children who think outside the box, who "ask too many questions", who challenge the norm or parents who support creativity and individuality in concert with Catholic teachings, and expect a school to follow through on it's commitment to a challenging educational environment in order to prepare for future learning endeavors need not apply to St. Paul's in Hingham. Save your money for a contribution at Sunday Mass and send your child to Hingham Public Schools.

My three children attend SPS and I couldn't be happier. We moved here this year and they have been easily accepted in all areas and feel as though they have been there for a long time. I am so impressed with the academics from pre-k to 2nd grade my kids are thriving. I couldn't ask for better teachers and an incredible principal. Most of all, I love how safe and nurturing the school is. I love that I am welcomed to be a part of the school and can go in and help for lunch duty or to read a story. It's a great community and we have not looked back!

St. Paul's school is a very special place. My spouse and I simply could not be happier with our decision to send our three children there. Our children have been able to thrive in many different ways due to the positive and nurturing environment that it's dedicated teachers, administration, and staff provide. The faculty is great and really encourage their students to achieve both academic excellence AND social responsibility, which is really something special to see in our children. The community is an active one that provides a tremendous amount of caring support for its students, teachers, staff, parents and alumni. My spouse and I have been involved in education for over 15 years and we were first introduced to this school by the unsolicited feedback we received from two directors of admissions at very prestigious High Schools in the area who said that "the best kids they get year after year are St. Paul's kids." We have been at the school for three years now and have seen first hand why they would have that opinion! From top to bottom, St. Paul's is truly a gift for us and our children!

My grand daughter is a student in the primary grades at St Paul's school in Hingham Massachusetts. St Paul's provides the total package: 1. An environment that fosters a strong educational component equal to the best schools, if not above. As a former educator, I can attest to the challenging curriculum that is provided. 2. Well qualified, caring and committed staff that are focused on the total development of the child. Student teacher ratio is great. This allows for active student participation in class. 3. A school environment that fosters respect for self and others. 4.A school that is built around parent evolvement, and communication between all parties involved in the education of the child. St Paul's has been a wonderful experience for my grand daughter. I would highly recommend St Paul's. Submitted by a Grandmother.

This school has been a wonderful experience for our son as we moved from PA to MA during the beginning of 7th grade. He was immediately accepted by both students and faculty and has grown and prospered with being part of the St. Paul school community. Highly recommend this to anyone thinking of living in the south shore area.

St. Paul School is a very special place that has been wonderful for my child. We are beyond thrilled with the school. The academics are excellent, the teachers have been wonderful, and my child is excited to go to school each day. The family community within the school is very active and supportive, and the new principal and pastor are strong leaders. I would highly recommend this school.
