My child went through all grades at Deer Hill. Teachers were not using unified approved instructional materials but rather “teachers-pay-teachers” junk. Homework was rarely assigned. The roofs leak and there were mice in the classrooms. The school had not chosen a math curriculum for years and the instruction in math was haphazard to be polite. My child experienced bullying, and the teachers and principal downplayed it for multiple years. We were glad to leave Deer Hill. Overrated. Underachieving. Poorly managed.

The Principle is fair and professional . Her confidence and balanced decisions make me feel comfortable sending my children. The teachers try really hard every year to make learning fun, and the standards for teaching are at there highest.

moved to Cohasset because of the schools. Great town, everyone looks out for each other's kids. I have 2 children in Middle School and One in Deer Hill. If you want to motivate your chile to his or her potential, with positive role models roming all over the town......move here!

I have two children who have attended this school. My oldest has gone on to the Middle School. I have been involved as a Room Parent and in the PSO. I can say nothing against Deer Hill School. It is a warm, inviting, challenging atmosphere for students. The teacher quality is top notch. Dr. deChiara is very involved and highly approachable to all parents. My only concern is class size which is edging up to 25 students per class. Terrific school!!
