Based on the information provided, it seems like the school is an excellent choice, with only one minor incident that was not serious. You should seriously consider attending this school for high school, as it has a proven track record. While some people may doubt the Dale/Ferndale school district, it's important to remember that your dedication and hard work will determine your success. Your brother's experience at Central High School was exceptional; he even received a full scholarship. I strongly recommend you take advantage of this opportunity and push yourself to achieve your goals.

Please, please walk around the campus including both sides of Ferndale Blvd. There are papers and trash everywhere.....especially in the yards across the street.

Teachers say one thing concerning a policy but then when you go to the office its something different. Everyone need to be on the same page. Too much confusion and a waste of parent time and energy when they flip flop on a so called school rule.

High Point Central is one of the best high schools in the state. Principal Bob Christina has turned this school completely around in the 4 short years he has been here. As a senior, I can see the changes he has made and can honestly say that the school is a place were the faculty truly cares about the students and the teachers will do anything to see their students succeed in and out of school. For example, free tutoring is offered by all teachers before and after school. HPC will not let a student fall through the cracks of the system as they are always encouraging and urging students to do their best. Founded in 1897, this school is legendary throughout the piedmont, it was the first million dollar high school ever built in North Carolina. HPC has a long legacy and there is a pride that goes along with graduating from a school with so much history. If you are considering sending your child to High Point Central I urge you to come take a look at the school for yourself and you will see how great of a school this is, how caring the people running the school are, and how anyone is capable of excelling in this incredible, one of a kind, school.

I am a former student at HPC and it was not the best experience before attending T. Wingate Andrews. When i was enrolled at HPC i noticed to a great extent it was not about the education for students. The staff never pushed students to achieve something greater and to go into college. It often seemed like a social setting instead. I stayed in most CP classes and was never motivated to be greater than i am until i transferred to Andrews, where the the school had decided to change the environment and become more strict towards the education of students. In the end it really benefits us and shows they really care.

Fantastic school with a multi-cultural setting. Academic performance has increased significantly, attendance has increased significantly, discipline issues have been greatly reduced, and the graduation rate had the largest increase of all comprehensive high schools in Guilford County Schools in 2012-13. The IB program draws top students from a designated region and has 250 students presently enrolled.

High Point Central High School is one of the best schools around in my opinion. It has been around to serve generation after generation. It is the "flagship" school for High Point, NC. It has been loved and will continue to be loved by former and present students and their families. HPC is a beautiful ageless school that is protected by the historians. The faculty and staff of HPC Is a wonderful group of people who truly care about our children and want them to "Achieve with Honor"!
