A lot of teachers are strict. Stinky bathrooms. Always bugs and RATS. This one time I was eating an orange. Not just any orange, an ROTTEN orange. This school needs major updates and upgrades.

This school is downright horrible and disgusting.Roaches everywhere and horrible teachers. Most of the teachers are bad people and have done bad things,I will not go into anymore detail about the things they’ve done. The teacher in courage fighting and bulling.Teachers and staff do nothing about students that do not get along and don’t care about complaints. They say they want to make the school better, yet they do these things.Do better.

As a curent student, i beg to other parents to not put your kids in this school, most kids talk about adult things, smoke, fight etc and teacher will watch and could care less, most days they just say "watch your phones" and dont teach us anything. As on online learning, the teachers dont bother to assign work join lives nothing at this point I'm mainly falling behind because of the lack of work from teachers. In conclusion I believe that this is one of the worst school you can put your student in if you want them to succeed in life.

I didn't attend any middle school other than Ferndale Middle, but I can say with certainty that this is no outstanding school. I attended Ferndale from 2014 to 2017, and throughout these three years, I seldom got the emotional or academic support I needed. I came into high school unprepared for my classes, as Ferndale's AIMM math program didn't have a permanent math II teacher for the 2016-2017 year. I had many teachers watch me struggle with keeping good grades and accepting myself as a person but received no guidance, but concerned phone calls to my parents. My experience at Ferndale was less than mediocre for a number of reasons and people, including my teachers, the administration, my peers, and admittedly, myself. If you can afford to send your student to a private school, please do so. If you can't, there's a decent school called Phoenix Academy in High Point that has a lottery program where your children can be entered for admission. There are also other magnet schools in High Point that are slightly better, like Penn-Griffin Middle School.

Any good reviews are probably fake, because nobody could actually like this school.

The school is falling apart both literally and figuratively.

My involvement with Ferndale Middle School was through my 6th grade granddaughter who attended FMS as a magnet school choice. I cannot begin to say enough good things about this past year's experience. Outstanding leadership, fantastic, caring capable teachers, "on point" support staff, wonderful "extra" opportunities for any student interested in after school activities. The building is well maintained, welcoming and definitely safe. I am happy with the entire experience for my granddaughter. From the moment her bus arrived at the end of her driveway until the moment she was dropped off, she was in good hands! Thank you, FMS. You guys ROCK!

Parent involvement can't stop once your child finishes elementary school. This school does NOT show priority to "rich kids". My family struggles financially each month (although college educated with good jobs), and my 6th grader got the education he needed by attending ferndale. Look forward to 7th grade and continuing as part of Trojan family!

This is the worst school ever. If you're not rich, you're not respectED and treated like a human being. Mostly everyone is snooty, and stand offish. If you want your child to grow and develop as an outstanding citizen, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE!
