For a school that is constantly encouraging respect, they don’t seem to have any regard for autistic students. I was in the assistant principal’s office for an incident regarding something that literally 90% of the kids in this school do every day, but if you know how schools are, you know that when it comes to autistic students, they always single them out. When she called my house, my mom literally had to ask the assistant principal “you do realize she has autism, right?” and she went completely silent, as if she had no idea and automatically knew she was in the wrong. Being an administrator and not knowing that your own student has autism is wild to me. Also insane to me how someone working in a school environment would not be aware with how autism works. They also refused to give me an IEP because “my academic performance is so well I don’t need it.” And when my dad went to a meeting with my teachers to discuss my 504 plan last year, they were all going on about how I didn’t need it because I was doing so well in classes. So insane to me.

I don’t know what these other students are talking about with guns and drugs, but my experience here has been decent especially with the teachers. I am in 8th grade with a 4.0 gpa in the highest classes. The teachers are very nice to me, there has actually been a decrease in fights from years prior. I am the nerd/jock so I talk to all kinds of people and some of the kids can be really rude for no reason but if you hang around the right people you will be fine. I’ve played on the Dw soccer team and basketball team and they have been great experiences. The only down side is that other kids aren’t as gifted as me so they struggle with grades and the students can’t get their grades up unless they have on of the few teachers that actually go in depth and stay before and after school to help students

I don't know who other reviewers had for their students' instructors and counselors, but my experience has been radically different here. In spite of a stressful year and a lot of adjusting to do, Webb faculty and counselors have made every effort to help my student, and my student in turn has been very successful here. I'm so impressed with Webb, either they've really cleaned house, or we have just been so lucky with our teachers and counselor.

Very poor resources to help ESL students. Cater to whites.

This is by far the best school. All of the teachers are informative and understanding. It's been a tough first year of middle school, with everyone getting sick and they've handled it so well compared to others. I'm ever so grateful to be zoned for this school.

i still go there now and its horrible , im going into 8th grade and the past 2 years ive been there its been nothing but drama and racist . i am black , and teachers have dress coded me for things that are incredibly stupid . i was dress coded because i was wearing a tanktop that was 3 fingers but its supposed to be 3 inches ? there was a white female right next to me with half her stomach out and nothing was said to her . there is a big issue with bullying mainly in my experience with teachers . my 6th grade reading teacher threw her glasses at me and would curse at me and nothing was done about it . they dont tell parents anything because they know they have higher authority over their kids . i feel like half the teachers there are just working for the money . ive been accused of threatening someone i didnt even know , nor ever talk to because of my skin tone . i was suspended for having a "vape" and i didnt , they searched me , my whole locker , and completely ruined my locker and stuffed everything back in there just to tell me i need to clean it . i never even had it and i got suspended based off what another student told them , when they had no physical evidence i had anything . they dont care about their students only test scores , a lot of the students that they call " bad kids " are actually very smart , but tired of everything . no student should want to give up on their school work because of how their treated , and then the school labels them as a bad kid and in need of improvement . ive had bullying problems and have been called a " hood rat " based off my skin color and nothing was done about it . the staff made me seem like i was the one in the wrong because i confronted them about what they said . they staff said i had no proof of them saying it when they said it to my face . they overload you with homework and when u dont turn it all in ur not participating , they pull you outta class and confront you about how your not doing ur work but dont help u with it . it is a terrible school over all . they only care about acidemic scores and how the students make the school look . if you are a student thats not doing very well they dont try to help you they jus put you in the shadows so you dont make the school look bad . they do nothing about bullying , and the only character they help the students with is to be resent full . ive grew up with kids from elementary school and we went to webb and now they do drugs . do not send ur kids here please

Not very good, I had major bullying problems in 6th grade and all the school did was make it worse, and the teachers just cared about homework, and not what I was goin g through or how I felt

I would still rate this school at my experience a "3" because of the issues that they still need to or improve focus on engagement and community support.

So good. I like it because this school helped me throughout the year.

Pretty rough experience overall. Maybe my views are different because I am not from this region of the United States. It's rather amazing how weak this school performs on a national scale. It's terrible how overcrowded and underfunded this school is and sadly the parents tend to not care much about education. I guess this can be expected in one of the lowest formally educated populations in the United States.

Affluent area but lacks culture. Too many students. Also, they get a second chance to pass the test... go figure!

School is in an affluent area, but hosts a blend of people. Some teachers genuinely care about there kids and others just try to get through the day. Del Webb's campus officers do very little in enforcement of rules which isn't necessarily a bad thing as most rules are trivial. The principals and administrative staff often show a lack of genuine interest or care for there students except for the counsellors. Overall, a quality school but not without its flaws.

I would agree with the previous post. We have moved around, and got here in August. My son is in eighth grade. He has always been a B student. His science and math teacher are horrible. There is no textbook or workbook pages for science! I have also dealt with an apathetic guidance counselor. After trying to help him with science and math, I am at a loss. They are being taught so poorly I understand why he isn't learning.

My student's experience at Del E. Webb Middle School involved a middle school counselor who didn't feel inclined to help and teachers who would selectively enforce policies. Before going to Del Webb, my student was a straight "A" student, consistently on the academic honor role roster, and was a optimistic about school. He maintained this high standard in academics from first grade into fifth grade. Then, within one quarter of attending Del E. Webb, my student was getting Ds and Fs. When we, his parents, tried to work with his counselor and teachers, we felt they were more interested in basically complaining about how there is a 1:107 teacher-to-student ratio at the school, basically implying that they are too over burdened to care for one student - my student.
