Great teachers. Support for parents and students are above average. Opportunities outside academics make our kids well rounded

I’ve been called so many slurs here, teachers will often do nothing and principals have in the past completely written off sexual harassment dealt to me. I am scared to go to school in fear of being hate crimed. This is not the environment I want to learn in

I am a current student of Connor High, I've been to many many schools but The Connor and Boone county school district has been my very favorite. The teachers truly do care about the students. Many give up some of their precious time to stay after and help tutor the students who need help. Many give up time they could use to spend with their families and chose to spend it with the students. Some claim the food isn't healthy but they do serve salads and a huge array of fresh vegetables and fruits. I honestly can not tell you how great this school is. They have a ton of classes ranging from Forensic science to diesel mechanics to photography and film studies. They have great after school programs such as football, wrestling archery and cheerleading. And amazing clubs such as FFA, FBLA, FTA ,and art club. They offer honor classes and AP classes which earn you collage credit. They offer internship opportunities and dual enrollment opportunities. Sure some teachers aren't the best but I don't think you will ever find a school where all the teachers are 100% perfect. With a delightful principle that is nice but can get strict when needed. An amazing awesome and friendly nurse who cares. There is even a state of the art football field where almost the entire school gathers on Friday nights to cheer on their amazing football team. Honestly there is so much to do and learn in life and Connor High school is an amazing place for anyone to really spread their wings and see what's out there.

This school is terrible the food is so fat for children. The teachers don't even care for the students. Some teachers teach the subject and don't go into depth. Im doing the best to my abilities but the teachers seems not to care. Ill admit a few teachers were great but the rest are horrible! I am a conner student and think this school is horrible I can't even tell you. This school really needs to be reinovated because ceilings have brown spots and cracks. Many other things come to mind like the desk through my freshman year 10 desks broke they have profanity on them and vulgar things on it. I'd like to see this school be reinovated by the time my little brother goes to this highschool.

As a graduate of Conner, I feel that it is an adequate public school. There are several excellent teachers who challenge students to succeed. However there are also a significant number of largely apathetic and under-qualified teachers as well. If you schedule wisely you have the opportunity to have a very nice education, especially since they offer a large number of AP classes. However, I feel that even the most challenging classes at Conner did not prepare me for a top-tier private university, although I was able to adjust eventually. Outside of academics, many of the extra-curriculars are very good. The administration is very poor and far removed from parent and student concerns.
