This is our first year at Healdsburg Charter School and are very pleased with the entire scope of education our child is receiving at the school. We have been very impressed with the project based learning curriculum of this school as well as the social-emotional toolbox program, the great amount of field studies, the use of technology in the classroom, as well as the additional enrichment programs that are provided for each student. The teachers are exceptional and seem to continually go above and beyond. It is also wonderful to see the amount of support the teachers have from the administration as well as the parents. It is very evident that the administration as well as the teachers are committed to this school and its students and committed to striving for and providing excellence in education.

My son has been at HCS for 2 years now and I can't say enough about community, the education and the experiences he has had and what it has done for him and for us as a new family to the area. The project based learning approach has really expanded his scope and adaptation. He tends to be a little more analytical and liked the traditional classroom setting of his old school, so I wondered how this experience would affect him. He blossomed like I never knew possible at his age. The classroom is fun and interactive, a place the kids want to be.

We are very pleased with the quality of education our daughter is receiving from Healdsburg Charter School. The Project Based Learning philosophy allows children to learn in a very interactive environment where they are encouraged to learn by doing. The Field Studies (field trips) the classes have taken greatly expand upon what they are learning in class. I am very pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality of Field Studies the children go on. The administration, teachers and PTO are an asset to the school as everyone has the common goal of creating a fun and educational environment for the children.

We have two children at Healdsburg Charter School and both of them are very different from one another with different strengths and needs. I can honestly say that we have been extremely pleased with the way the school has been able to meet our children and their individual needs. They are challenged when they need to be and nurtured always! The teachers are dedicated, experienced, loving and engaging. The administration is proactive, supportive and involved. It's a wonderful community of parents and we feel so lucky to have chosen this school for our children. They are both well adjusted, thriving and love to go to school every morning.

A committed administration, dedicated teachers, involved families, engaged students: those pillars were what we were looking for in an elementary school for our two children. How fortunate we are to have found them at HCS. Since 2011, when the school started, I have watched with admiration these teachers who are exceptionally talented and relentlessly devoted to awakening the love of learning in their students. They are succeeding, and the students are developing in multiple areas through project based learning (PBL). The community element, both in location and participation, is inspiring, and provides an ideal base for the students to explore the world around them, whether it be physically, academically, or through technology. Excellent enrichment programs. Incredible garden. A creative environment that fosters solid academic growth and team work.
