We have been impressed with Windsor Creek from day one. STEM, Reading Counts, Music Program, Computers, and most of all, teachers that are trained in new methods to engage and motivate students. Our teacher, Ms. Wilson, has a dedication to the students that just blows me away - her classroom is interactive, fun and engaging with flexible seating, project based learning and real-life applications sprinkled in. The school prioritizes field trips and student recognition, which is age appropriate and fun for the kids. The icing on the cake is Julie Stearn, a loving and approachable principal. She turned this school into a community of young learners and future leaders. We are so lucky to live in such a dynamic school district.

We all wish that schools would offer higher levels of enrichment & extra curriculars & such enhancements; aside from such fanciful aspirations, this school has been awesome (from both parent & child perspective).

Your experience with this school will largely depend on the teacher you get. If you get one who is incompetent do not expect any support from the princinpal in addressing those problems.

My son is new to the district and the children at this school have been welcoming. In addition, the school provides Lexia and Extra Math online resources that help students reach their potential. We have already gone on a field trip and several more are planned. We love this school!

Windsor creek elementary is a great school. The entire staff is completely commited to doing their best to work together to create the best environment for the children. The principal is fabulous, very professional, but warm and ready to talk with parents if you'd like to. She is a huge proponent of the reading program, which is amazing, too. Our daughter learned an amazing amount this past year (2nd grade) and we are so grateful to have Windsor creek and its many very talented teachers and staff that work there. It's so nice to be able to have our children close by and supporting our local schools and be getting wonderful education all at the same time. Thank you Windsor Creek!!!!

This school was a big disappointment.. Claims to be anti-bully, some of the worst bulling I have seem by students and teachers......Two things I could say good about the school was the many field trips the kids got to go on and it's music program...

Windsor Creek is an amazing school with great parent, teacher and principal involvement. The reading counts program encourages reading with a reward system that honors each student. The PTA rocks.

We moved our daughter from a previous school to Windsor Creek for 2nd grade. The school is large and we worried it would be hard to make friends but as you start this school in 2nd grade, it is new to all the kids and she made friends right away. At our previous school we felt the principal did not take care of discipline well, at this school our daughter has had a couple issues with a boy in her class and her teacher and the principal were timely and fair in taking care of the situation. With over 450 2nd & 3rd graders in this physical school you would think it would be hard to be on top of all of them but from what I have seen the teachers, staff and principal work well together to keep everyone safe and well nurtured at the same time. Our main reason for a change of schools was my daughters reading was not at benchmark . The Reading Counts Program was just what we needed, she is at grade level now and has the confidence in reading she did not have last year. No school is perfect or the right fit for everyone but for our family the change to Windsor Creek was a positive one and we have enjoyed all that is has offered to us this year.

Windsor Creek Elementary is a great school! They make school a fun environment for the children to learn in. I like how there is only 2nd & 3rd grade at the school so it helps with not only older kids bullying, but also keeps it close with just the 2 grades. The principle is great as well as the teachers. I love the activities they offer during and after school. It opened up more opportunity for my kids to find their interests as they are growing.

I have had three children attend Windsor Creek. While no school is perfect, I have found that with few exceptions, the teachers and administration are 100% devoted to providing the best public education environment possible. One of my children had special needs which were identified and addressed by the school. We found the administration open and willing to discuss any issue, even if it was to point out when our feelings regarding our children's education were not correct.. In all cases, the interactions led to a great experience for our children. Ms. Grafeld and her staff are excellent.

This is an A+ school! The office staff are always friendly and helpful. My children have had amazing teachers. The school has high academic standards. The principal has exciting awards assemblies that the students and parents look forward to every month. She is always encouraging and motivating the children to become strong readers. They have special family events like the Father Daughter Dance and the Mother Son Night. The school has been named a California Distinguished School twice. We are very pleased with our school.

Principal is not very friendly or accessible to hispanic families. Doesn't engage socially with latinos. Same for PTA and Mattie Washburn. Joined and was completely ignored. Sending out flyers in spanish is not enough. Most hispanic kids put in certain classrooms with certain teachers. All the "good" teachers only 1-4 hispanics kids in whole class. Seems like No Child Left Behind doesn't apply to all. California Distinguished School only for economically wealthy and non Latino.

One star here means "unsatisfactory." That is precisely how I rate Windsor Creek. The following are my opinions based on our experiences. Having suffered this school, we moved our children out of the district and have never looked back. Our child was a top achiever at this school, yet was ignored and at times flagrantly mistreated. Communication with top administrators was a joke. It's their way or no way, even when they are wrong and failing to act in the best interest of the child. Heaps of praise and resources are given to low achievers. The only time our child received any attention was to ensure that the STAR tests were taken. (Of course! Because without those smart kids taking the STAR tests, the school s ratings will drop.) Ultimately, our child helped and supported the school, not the other way around. Additionally, classes are embarrassingly insufficient in terms of academic standards. Forget about high quality art, music, science, math or PE. We were appalled, and would never advise anyone to enroll his or her children here. Our kids are now thriving elsewhere. Your kids are only young once. Give them the best that you can.

I am not fond of this school at all. My first child came to this school (she's now 20) and she had the worst third grade teacher ever. (she's still there!) The school is very "clicky" and the parents are rude in picking up and dropping off their kids - not following ANY safety laws for the kids. I made teachers aware of this last year, yet nothing has been done about it. My 8 year old is in third grade this year and is a special needs child. The case manager doesn't follow the progress (of my child) and relies only on the aides for deciding how the children are succeeding...however, the aides don't have any training in dealing with his disability! Never has time for the parents and discussing the children seems to be a hassle (always cancels meetings). I did not like the school when my first child went [there] and I still don't. I guess if your child is not needing extra help, they would be ok; although probably not prepared for fourth grade as my first child (wasn't). The only positive thing I can say about this school is that they focus on reading. That's it.
