We're happy with this school. So far, our experience has been great with the teachers, school principals, school admin & students. No bullying that we as parents or my kids have encountered. They did an amazing job during the Distance Learning & has been working hard to keep our kids safe right now in welcoming them back at school for in-person learning.

We've been happy with our experience at Burbank. The facility itself is great. All the teachers our kids have had seem truly dedicated to helping each child learn. They have a clear plan for addressing areas where each child needs to improve. It's a large school, with a large Spanish-speaking population, so nearly everything is communicated in both English and Spanish. The administrators seem like they truly care about the students. Test scores are going up, too. We are in the English-only program, so I can't comment on the Dual Language immersion program (Spanish), but parents I've talked to seem happy with it.

I am so proud to be member of the Burbank Community. It is an excellent elementary school and has proven that it meets the needs of students by offering a rigorous academic program presented by dedicated professionals. Besides an excellent academic program students become proficient in the latest technology which begins with IPads in Kindergarten and continues with Keynote presentations in upper grades. Children are expected to be respectful, responsible and safe. When I first began teaching at Burbank 7 years ago our API was the lowest of any elementary school in Hayward at 613. In 2012 our API soared to 841. I am currently a substitute teacher and am extremely proud to be able to still call Burbank my home.
