My children attended All Saints, beginning in 4th and 6th grade. Before that, we attended East Avenue Elementary School. There was nothing wrong with public school, but we wanted more for our children as they grew into young adults. Each family views and values education differently, and in our case- my father instilled in me that “education is something that no one can take away from you.” Therefore, we value a holistic and realistic education that provides many opportunities. How children perform and function in school is the sum of familial values and school environment. All Saints Catholic School complemented our familial values based on the following:1. Spiritual, religious, and moral compass: Opportunities to develop faith formation simultaneously with the curriculum. Opportunities for us as a family to discuss current world events in a particular context and offer positive coping skills.2. Academic rigor: Low classroom counts, better teacher-to-parent relationships, opportunities for science camps and science fairs.3. School/parent environment/ sports: The administration is dedicated to the learning and safety of the children. When public schools were still distance learning, this institution had protocols for early in-classroom teaching (a lifesaver for me as I was on the frontlines in the ICU). Social events that are both wholesome, fun, and spiritual- Fiesta, Crab Feed, Fun Run, school dances, etc. They have a well-established CYO program with dedicated and league/diocese-winning coaches.4. Kids Klub: after-school caregiving for those who require extended care.5. Robust choir/ music program with a dedicated choir/ music director.6. Safety of the campusMy child is nearing graduating from All Saints and will soon transition to high school. My eldest was offered a generous scholarship at a prestigious private high school in Oakland but chose to attend a distinguished private high school in Hayward. Both were blessings and opportunities that I believe would not have been available to us if we had not chosen All Saints Catholic School. Many of our fondest memories originate with activities and events sponsored by All Saints and the Oakland Diocese. I highly recommend All Saints Catholic School- and if you’d like to know more— find out yourself!

My two children attend this school. We transferred from another private Christian school a few years ago and are very happy with our choice. The school has caring, supportive, effective and devoted teachers, an awesome extra resource specialist with a volunteer that is a retired teacher from the school, a Principal who is honest, fair, very involved and who has a very available/open door policy. Student progress is monitored with daily support as well as standardized tests held 4 times during the school year. Teachers maintain a very good balance of fairness and firmness. As with any school there are fundraisers - a reality for all schools in today's world, but it doesn’t feel overdone or overwhelming. Special care is taken by the school to plan them and communicate what they are to parents. Typically they are the type of fundraisers that make it possible for families not to have to pay the cost out of their pocket (ie: pledges for laps) and I appreciate that. My experience is that the parents here are having tons of fun at/with the fundraisers and school activities and events and it is a very welcoming environment. The school has the most recent technology, a tech lab with iPads, laptops, and tech classes. There is also an amazing library that I’ve noticed students adore. It's a very diverse community with lots of parent support and involvement and a very positive environment for students to learn and grow. Catholic faith and traditions are well infused, and the school teaches strong, positive values. Students who attend here typically go on to attend Catholic or private high schools in the area. Highly recommend.

As a WASC and WCEA accredited school, we are proud to serve our community with a quality education taught by caring, devoted teachers and staff in a faith-based environment. We understand that parents have a choice for their child's education and we do not take it lightly when we are that choice. We take pride in adhering to rigorous academics that place us among the best in the area and affords us to graduate students into highly desirable schools. It is our mission to nurture the whole child-well rounded, responsible scholars of good character, who live lives of service to others, with leadership qualities that can help navigate the world around them. We celebrate and encourage the individuality of each child's God-given gifts and provide structure and personal attention to our students through small class sizes and extra resources where needed. Regular standardized testing gives us strong tools to monitor progress. Our teachers are devoted. Their tenure with us ranges from 1-35 years with the majority having longer tenures. All have teaching experience ranging from 4-35 years. We are led by a Principal with over 30 years experience as a school leader and who is loved by the school community. Our school was established over 70 years ago and is recognized by state/federal governments as a historical site. We take pride in that but also that we have incorporated and keep up with today's technology. An example is the combination of our traditional library and our modern computer lab. Students have at their fingertips over 9,000 books to explore in our library and tech classes to enjoy in our lab, which contains laptops for an entire class and 70 iPads in two mobile carts. Our students grow spiritually and personally through retreats and camps in upper grades and through participation in community outreach for all grades. Faith Families, student government and our drama program allow students to learn confidence and leadership skills they can carry through high school and beyond. Parent involvement is high. Our parents want to be part of their child's education and we welcome that. While our parents are asked to commit to 15 volunteer hours, it is our experience that our parents are involved well beyond that. That speaks volumes about our parents and our school environment.

The carpet around the classroom and hallways smell really bad and its very old. Neec fresh paint ASAP. I withdrawal my daughter after six months and the principal threated me to send me to collection if I don't pay until the end of school. I paid in full but she could handle the situation in a different way. I do not recommend this school.

All Saints has proven to be the best decision we made since we moved to the Bay Area a couple years ago. Our son came as a gifted and talented student from the best school district in the country--and had a horrible year transitioning into what was supposed to be one of the best pubic schools in California. No proactive instruction, no support from the school or district, and a crowded, unwelcoming community. We put him in All Saints and experienced the exact opposite--even before the school year started. He is thriving once again. He loves his teachers, he looks forward to going every day, and takes pride in his work--all the things he showed us before and we knew would again in the right environment. This is a great school indeed and we can't wait to get his little brother started next year.

A wonderful culturally diverse community. Rich in Catholic faith and traditions. High academic expectations. Engaged and innovative teachers. Positive and supportive administration. My family was immediately welcomed and embraced into the school community. We transferred to All Saints from an independent private school. One of my children was entering middle school and the other in primary. My children transitioned well into their classes and continue to enjoy school daily. My children are involved in the drama program (through the school), CYO sports (through the church), piano (through MUSE) and Student Council all offered at the All Saints. Our family looks forward to all of the school gatherings from the annual ice cream social, fiesta, Sock Hop to the Spring Fling. There are many social events open to the families and school community. We are truly blessed to be at All Saints.

Lots of work needs to be done at this school. Read the news regarding this school. We are having a hard time there. They choose what parents can help in the class. They will not allow some parents to get involve in the classroom.
