My daughter has been attending Longwood since Kindergarden. She is now in the 4th grade. She LOVES this school. She would never let me move her from this school. WOW, she is in for a big surprise when she has to go to Middle School. The teachers I have encountered are all great and Ms. Clark, was just wonderful. She was always there when our family needed help.

Longwood restaffed in the 2010-2011 school year. The atmosphere at Longwood is very positive and welcoming. The teachers all collaborate really well with eachother. Many teachers often put in a lot of extra hours (unpaid) after school and even on the weekends. The school offers many different programs to help students. There is a reading program called Reading Partners where students can get one-on-one help with reading and grammar. The Hayward Public Library runs a free homework help program after school Mon - Thur. The Youth Enrichment Program is also available before and after school. The Super Stars Literacy program is offered to students (K-2) who need extra help with literacy. The Parent Center offers free ongoing classes to Longwood parents. Some teachers also offer intervention in their classes after school. The student's test scores keep going up and Longwood continues to show dedication to the student's with all the different programs they have to help the them. Go Longwood Lions!
