They pull anyone off the street to teach at this school. When a gym teacher is pulling in 95,000. a year to be a certified babysitter ....we have problems. Enough with the teacher aids (another certified babysitter) I'm so glad my last kid is almost done. ps- quit raising my school taxes ...when clearly you have enough in reserves to support your "athletes" and such. Um, your athletes don't make it past the first year in college...just sayin'

As a graduate of 2011 I am completely happy to never see Hannibal community again. They have nothing to offer here. It's a poor town with classes that are useless. Other school districts actually offer valuable classes. If you want your child well educated I do not recommend this school.

Hannibal School had my daughter graduate with an IEP diploma, when with a little extra work she could have gotten a general dipoma, but no.....they had to give her FIVE art courses a year, instead. When I tried to get involved and volunteer to help other special education kids, they wouldn't even listen. I guess they wanted puppets that would do what they wanted, instead of someone who would advocate for the kids.

Hannibal High School does a horrid job with Special Education kids. First off they will try to get them out of the district by putting them in BOCES. If you choose to say no and make them do their jobs....well....trust me, they will do as little as possible. My daughter would have had a shot at a general dipolma instead of an IEP diploma. The school kept hidden from me until it was too late tht she only needed to pass one more RCT-reading comp. and get a few more credits. Instead they gave her 5 art courses each year. Now, when she is trying to get her GED...they are dragging their feet getting her permission to use a calculatr for testing. It is always SOMEONE ELSES JOB! Any kid that needs extra help to graduate, they talk into quitting. That way it doesn't go against their State Report Card. PLEASE,PLEASE....IF YOU HAVE ANY CHOICE AT ALL DON'T SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL.

Very great place to learn & make friends. Teachers go above and beyond to help you graduate on time. Very hard to miss/skip class. The staff there knows what they're doing!
