Great school where your kids can learn and grow. Strong morals and ethics that support the children and their way of being. A place where your kids can learn and grow and you can find family.

I have loved this school for my kids. While I do wish the kids got more outside time and maybe some more electives like cooking or a stem class/building class. I have loved the teachers and the staff.

This school is decent enough. If you have special needs children, they still have a ways to go. The moral focus is good, but the kids do not exemplify these to those around them. No inclusion of the special needs kids by the other kids or encouragement of that by the teachers..Academics are good.

I love Excel Charter Academy. I have 2 daughters who are 6 and 8 years old. They both like their school and their teachers. Excel has the most diverse cultural students and friendly environment for my girls to growth and learn.

Amazing...a true treasure to parents who want private school education but can't afford it! This school is beyond all expectations. The teachers are involved and engaged . The principal is a true leader. The diversity is just what I was looking for. It models the real world.

I am an alumni from this school, The teachers will make no effort to help your student. If you aren't a very "religious christian" the staff in the office will talk about you behind your back. If your student struggles with certain subjects, unless they're in need of special education, they will make no effort to help them to acheive. Instead, they will tell you at conferences how poorly your child is doing and they'll speak to you as if they have done everything that they can to help them when they havent. The dress code is absolutely rediculous, if your child wears a skirt or any type of shorts that go more than 3 inches above the knee (they measure with a sticky note) they will either send them home, or make them change into some other clothes they have laying around in a bag. The science fair projects that they'll make your child do are too advanced for 5th-8th graders. Don't get me wrong, only 2 of the teachers I've liked there, the rest of them have no sympathy. I believe one year, a students father died or something like that & they made school end an hour early for a student I didnt even know to be able to go to the funeral, but if it was your child who has just experienced a death in the family they would expect your child to be in school no matter what. I understand that there is a long waiting list to get into this school, but honestly it's not worth it. They also claim to prepare your child for a high school carreer when nothing that they have taught me has prepared me for high school at all. Enroll at your own risk.

I am a student and it is a great school. I'm in 8th grade and I love that the teachers talk to us like more than their students. I am also able to go down and help in a 1st grade classroom during the day and that is fun! The only bad thing is, in the middle school there have been a lot of fights this year. A lot more than previous years.

Our son is in 4th grade, and his 2nd year at Excel. He requires a little extra help with some subjects, and also with concentration and text anxiety. His teachers and the staff have always had good communication with us on his progress, and have worked with us very well in trying things to help him. We have been very happy with our experience there, and plan on sending our daughter once she is school-age.

We are in our 5th year at Excel. It is a great school with great teachers and staff. It feels like an extended family to us. I love the culture and diversity of the school, along with the moral focus. The education/curriculum is top notch. Every year there is something new for each grade to experience themselves, creating fun anticipation for the coming year. We recommend Excel to all our friends with school age children.

The staff at this school is exceptional. The principal is a great leader as well as a wonderful example for his staff and the students. My son started in young 5's and is now in middle school and wouldn't have him go anyplace else.

I can't say enough good things about Excel. We will be going into our 6th year at Excel in a couple of months, and I am still so thankful we chose Excel. Everyone is so warm, they obviously truly care about our children and want them to excel in every area - academics and beyond. Top notch principal, leadership and staff. Diversity. Variety of interesting programs. Rich culture and family feel. And they truly encourage "high moral character and academic excellence." We couldn't be happier.... ok maybe we would be happier if they provided transportation:). But transporting my children is a small price to pay for everything we are getting. Thank you Excel!:)!

If you have a "normal" child, this is a okay school to send them to. If your child has any special needs, look for a different school.

Our child was in Kindergarten and he is in 8 grade now. We love this school because the teachers all work well and show caring with their students. They are serious in their academic teaching. The principal at this Excel school has a great admiration from the parents and students as well. We love Excel and the staff members! Highly recommend this school to friends and others.

This is a great school if your child can learn in a very generic at your desk all day reading textbook style. One of my sons does great, my other son has struggled with the curriculum and no other learning options are provided. If you want a school that will adapt to your child's needs this is not the place.

My son is in the 8th grade now, and has been at Excel since kindergarten. We have absolutely loved this school from beginning to end, especially the moral focus aspect of the curriculum. I feel he is well prepared for high school and for life. The academics have been great, but mostly I feel that Excel has helped shape his character. I have found the staff to be very open to parental input. The community is very welcoming, too. We have a terrific group of families!
