I have a 6th grader and a 5th grader - and an older child that graduated from Glenoaks. This school is excellent. There are so many opportunities and activities for the students, and the families are wonderful and involved. It's safe and well-run.

This campus has demonstrated one of the most hostile bullying by parents against another student I have ever seen on a school campus. They covertly drive students and families they find unpleasing away and make it look like it’s the student’s fault. It’s taken a long time for me to express my observation. It’s time.

I am shocked by the negative reviews because we have had the total opposite experience. We have been at Glenoaks since 2016 and are very, very pleased with our overall experience. Our child has consistently been a top performer. The school has an amazing foundation with a strong group of dedicated parents. The principal is well-liked by the students and brings a lot of positive energy to the learning environment. Glenoaks is a gem and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

My boys are now in 8th and 10th, both attended Glenoaks, and I am so thankful they did. It is truly a village, with a principal, teachers and staff that care, and strong parent involvement. Both have also done really well academically and have had wonderful teachers along the way.

Ever since the arrival of the new leadership, the school atmosphere has turned very gloomy. No one, including the parents trust the principal because of his inconsistent behaviors.

I am a mother of three and they all attend Glenoaks Elementary School. We have had great teachers and classroom experiences for the past 5 years that we have been there. The teachers really take the time to help the children grow and they care about their feelings and needs. Communication with the school and parents is great through their website and school app.

This is our first year at GES. The principal, teachers and parents have a strong partnership. Parents are well organized and always open to volunteer when there is a need. The kids are so respectful and compassionate with fellow students. One has a real sense of community and belonging at this school. I have experience with another GUSD school and let me say, I wish my two girls had attended GES. Love, LOVE this school. My son struggled at his first elementary school from 1st-5th grade. So fortunate he has the opportunity to be part of this great school. He is soaring higher than he thought possible. After the first week, my son said he wishes school was 5 hours longer. True story.

Love love love Glenoaks! Our principal is amazing along with his wonderful staff. He's very open to talking to parents and hearing any concerns they have, whether positive or negative. The school has a great community feel to it. Parents/staff/teachers all work together to better the school.

We love Glenoaks! This is our 4th year here and we are so impressed with the staff, the principal, the parent involvement, fun PTA & Foundation family events, school library, music program, ceramics classes for all students, computer lab, after school programs, and the safe and clean campus! The principal is super supportive, friendly, and professional. He has so much energy and likely knows every student by name! The school encourages parent involvement and it shows in the parent investment in the campus upkeep, events, and daily goings on at the school. Over the past 4 years, the PTA and GESF (Glenaoaks Elementary School Foundation) have fund-raised to upgrade the school with the following: new playground structure, chromebooks/computers, brightly painted beautiful murals throughout the campus, roll-down shade structures for the cafeteria benches (to be installed shortly), benches, and a new filtered drinking fountain. I am proud to be a Glenoaks parent and know that my son is in good hands while at school each day!

This is our 4th year at Glenoaks and we have been happy with school staff, activities, academics and love the school spirit! Glenoaks Elementary truly feels like its own community where students, teachers, and school staff are all invested in making learning fun! The principal has great school spirit, attentive, responsive and open to feedback. We look forward to many more great memories!

We have the best environment and the teachers are amazing at Glenoaks! This is our second year for our daughter who did TK last year and now kinder. Couldn't have asked for more.

This is our 3rd year at Glenoaks and we couldn't be happier. The principal is amazing! He likely knows all the kids and parents by first name basis, creates a fun and safe environment for the kids, and is always putting safety first. All the kids love him and high five him passing by. The teachers are great and truly care for the kids and their progress. They make it easy for parents to create a partnership with the teachers for the benefit of the kids (up to the each family to get involved). There are many parent volunteers in classes, helping in the mornings and afternoons with drop off/pick up, and simply being there when needed. There are a lot of fundraising events throughout the year and it's great to see the community come together and contribute either financially or with their time to ensure Glenoaks remains a wonderful school!

From the office staff to the kitchen staff and every teacher I have encountered between this school does nothing but bully children and parents. From not allowing the parents to walk their child to class to refusing to give my son breakfast. This school is very unorganized and it's teachers and staff need a lesson in dealing with children and how to use their own manners.
