Wonderful school with caring faculty, staff and administration. They are always readily accessible to students and parents. I truly believe sending my kids to a Christian-based school develops spiritual growth and mental well-being. I know the school welcomes a ll faiths. GAA serves TK through 12th grade, which for me is extremely convenient because I’ve got three kids at the school—a 3rd grader in the elementary, a 7th grader in junior high, and a 9th grader in high school. I appreciate that it literally takes only a couple of minutes in the morning and afternoon to pick them up. The school accommodates siblings to be picked up and dropped off at the same time. My kids are excited about the new STEM program that started this year, and also enjoys their daily lunches from Chef Jayson. The high school has a strong academics curriculum, including a fantastic athletics and fine arts program. My eldest son who graduated from the school and is now in medical school says he enjoyed participating in football, chorale and drama, and feels it’s a great well-rounded school.

Unfortunately, my senior doesn’t want to leave the school. She has been a student there all her life. But the new principal is simply running the school ineffectively. The school should never have hired a man more interested in his own well being then that of the school. his first year here he barely was around. He doesn’t help with the day to day functions. I am an alumni, a parent, a parent of two graduates, and I volunteer with home and school, may and fall festival, and Olaore is never around. He spent zero time helping or meeting parents. If there is an issue with a student, he doesn’t know the school’s policy and makes his own punishments. His concern is his own and not the school. He didn’t help with the May or Fall festival except to show up and leave. He didn’t assist to set up, cleanup or even contribute. He even left on his own extended vacation and continues to get a paycheck. He is useless. I expect more from GAA. I want so much for this school to thrive, but we can’t even get the school painted, fence built or classroom updated. Drive up Kimlin Avenue and look at auditorium on each side there are deep dark water stains. The buildings are deteriorating too. The honors and AP classses are a joke. Ask to see the pass rate. Not one student has gone to a UC school in ages. And the high school does not help you with college applications, Prep for PSAT or SAT. My child got an A in her AP. Classbut got a 2 in the AP exam. Not one of her friends pass. I now have to hire a tutor and a private coach to get into a college. You’re better off going to another private school then to waste your money.

If you want a Quality Christian Education then Glendale Adventist Academy is the place to be. With small class sizes the Teachers are able to focus more on the students needs. The overall atmosphere at this school is amazing, the Faculty and Staff are so welcoming and loving. It is truly a Christ centered school.

I love how close-knit the parents can be with staff & faculty. We're like a family. The staff looks after my kids each day as if they were their own.

In today's materialistic world it is rare to find a school which truly cares about children's holistic development. This school really exceeded my expectations. Teachers are approachable & helpful. Their study material is excellent & prepares the students for the wider world after school. The school is able to develop responsible citizens with clear guide lines. Students are like one big family welcoming new comers into their midst. I would gladly recommend this school to anyone.

This school is excellent in molding the child's moral foundation which I believe would better prepare a child in the future. The school's lack of extracurricular activities is well intended, that is, the parents should seek out available sports activities in their own communities for them and their children to join and enjoy together.

Both of my children have attended Glendale Adventist Academy for years. My daughter graduated and is now in college. My son is still there receiving a great education. Almost all of the teachers have Masters degrees from quality educational institutions. The have sports programs for baseball, football, soccer, vollyball, etc. They had an issue with injuries on an older asphalt surface on the elementary school campus for a while, but that has been resolved with a new surface and a beautiful play area with a high quality artificial turf. The academics and music programs are top notch with the music program winning regional awards consistently. The cafeteria food is healthy/vegetarian and cooked daily by an experienced professional chef - no "lunch ladies" here. The children are educated with a view toward college and eventual service to their communities and to world.

Terrible school. Makes people close minded, with many close minded teachers there. Doesn't expose students to anything but their close minded ness and education there is terrible.
