Over the past year, my son has been enrolled in this school. The majority of the teachers and staff exhibit commendable dedication to their roles. The student body generally demonstrates good behavior and academic progress. However, a notable concern lies in the excessive screen time allocated to elementary grade students, averaging 2-4 hours daily. This raises concerns about eye health and overall well-being. Additionally, the state of the school library leaves much to be desired, partly attributable to inadequate management by the librarian. Furthermore, the lunch menu lacks sufficient healthy options, a crucial aspect in promoting student nutrition and well-rounded development

I have been really happy with our experience at Brier. The staff has been fantastic. We have been involved with volunteering at the school so we’ve gotten to see how hard everyone works and how much the students are cared for. I appreciate how diverse the school is in the languages spoken, culture, socioeconomic statuses of families. It’s so meaningful that the kids can meet others of different backgrounds and hopefully learn to embrace everyone’s differences. Brier is a nice breath of fresh air compared to many of the other Fremont schools, which may not expose students to as much diversity.

My kids are in this School for the past 2 years.. they were in Mattos before, my comparison BRIER is the Best. Here, they teach to respect Elders, to be obedient, . The most important thing I liked about tis school is that it's a UNIFORM SCHOOL... i believe Kids discipline, starts from the Uniforms.. TEACHER'S are awesome.. they insist on reading, they make the kids to like Math by explaining clearly. My kids also liked itMy son started to like Science a lot because the way the Teacher's taught him was sooo interesting, they always teach with some examples esp the Science tour conducted in the school was really useful.I thank all the Teacher's who helped my kids and still working with the kids and doing the Marvelous job.All the Teachers in Brier are sooo dedicated.. and So the Principal.. Thank you once again..

There is hardly No communication between teachers and parents. You cannot just walk up and speak with a teacher, you have to make an appointment, email ect.. which is not personal at all. Since there are so many students at this school, your child seems just rushed through the school system. I am trying to be involved in my children's education and how I can help my children succeed better but again no communication between parents and teachers. I guess back to school night is your only contact with the teacher. I am very dissapointed in this school. If you want a better education for your child, try Cabrillo school instead, at least your children will have more one on one with thier teachers and you can actually go up and talk to thier teachers there instead of being told to stand behind a line, like they do at Brier.

There isn't alot of parent involvement in this school. It is always stand behind this line and just send your child off. There are 5th and 6th graders all hanging out right by the street before school because they are told to stay behind this certain line. Very very unsafe to have our children by a street in the morning for any weirdo to grab and go. There seems to be some major safety issues as well. There are about 50+ parents standing in the small area where they are told to be and it is packed liked sardines. Again not safe. Other schools have alot more parent/child Interaction and what they are doing in school and you don't see that here. For example at my child's other school they had music playing on Fridays where the parent and child were on the playground with other parents and staff and when the bell rang they would have awards or letting parents know what was going on the following week. There is nothing like that at this school. Parents should be involved and knowing what thier child is doing in school and make it a great learning environment not a boot camp

My son went here for only one year since our school, Millard, did not have transitional kindergarten. I volunteered often, and fell in love with the staff and principal. I loved the monthly 'Coffee Talk' where parents gathered together to listen to the principal discuss important topics about the school and activities. She truly cares about her school and the students who attend Brier. I really miss all of the wonderful activities such as science night, and reading night - where police and firemen come to read to the kids. It's surprising that this school does not carry a higher rating. I was told that it has to do with testing scores and how 'English as a second language students' are expected to take the same test as all of the other students who have English as their primary language. You can't go wrong with this school. The principal encourages all of the students to be successful, and has many programs in place to help them achieve that success. Brier Elementary is a truly wonderful school.

When you go to school, you expect to make great, fun, and educational memories. But,when you come here, you will get severely bullied and the teachers here are unpleasantly rude.I do not recommend bringing your child here.
