I agree with other reviewers that this school is a prison for children! I hope people don't choose it. My child struggles so much for 8 hours here and teachers specially class teacher doesn't give a dime about being nice or help kids who are bullied. Please stay away, surely there are better choices in Franklin.

Was hoping for so much better but coming from NJ I think the standards are OK for TN.

My daughter started kindergarten here the very first year it opened, and is now finishing up 5th grade. I also have a 2nd grader. I can say that this experience has been so wonderful. Both of my girls have always had great teachers who have gone above and beyond! The facility is beautiful - it looks like a college campus compared to where I went to elementary school! The parents are very involved and motivated to help. There are a lot of fun events for the kiddos throughout the year - creating tons of great childhood memories. We will miss these years. Thank you, Clovercroft!

We are new to the area and I have been so pleased with Clovercroft so far. The principal took a lot of time to learn about my child in order to place him with the best teacher and class environment. His teacher sent us a welcome email before we moved to make the transition easier for our son. Everyone has gone above and beyond to make moving during the middle of the year a positive experience for all of us. I would highly recommend this school.

This school is entering its 4th year and I have had kids there from the beginning. Sadly, the school is run like a prison. Dropping off keys in the front office along with checking in electronically where you must give your car make/model and take a picture! When I asked why I had to do all of this to volunteer or have lunch with my child (I have already been fingerprinted thru the county and have a badge), I was told that it was county policy. I later found out this was a lie! Clovercroft had volunteered to be a test school for that particular check in application. ...Continued from below...Any success this school has, and they do get awards, is because of the teachers. They are great! It is amazing that they are able to teach the way they do in such an environment...and you can tell that the teacher's and administration don't gel like they should. There is definitely a separation-not a team or community feel.

Clovercroft Elementary School is a great school if you have a child that fits perfectly into the mold of how public school wants a child to act. Unfortunately, this school is overcrowded and I found our experience to be negative with how the school handled our child's behavior. Instead of helping a kindergartner to grow and learn proper behavior within a large group environment, the school chose isolation in the classroom and during lunch. Upon requesting a change, the response given was the child must prove to us they can handle themselves by displaying XX behavior for a consistent time period. Anyone who works with kindergartners knows that practice makes perfect and this age group needs the opportunity to practice the skill instead of being sheltered and excluded. Isolation is not the answer for kindergartners. If you've got a child who fits right in the perfect box, great place, if not, I would advise against Clovercroft Elementary in Franklin, TN.
