I thought this school would be better with new principal but dose not help with any parent concerns. Will brush you off and hide from you.

We had really good experience with the school. Chris in the admin office is amazing, she remembers both my kids' names which grade they are in and which class. My son is making a really good progress at the school. He is excited to go to school and he speaks highly of all his teachers Mrs, Kunstel (1st grade teacher), Mrs. Niemann (his 1st and 2nd grade teacher) and Mr. Fergusson (3rd grade teacher). His concentration at doing homework is steadily increasing and he is very patient and concentrates in completing his homework this year thank you Mr. Fergusson. My daughter started Kindergarten with Mrs. Guillen. My daughter hated all day cares under she met Mrs Guillen. One the first day she went in crying and came out of her class laughing and she stopped crying completely by 2nd week. It was a huge relief for us to see her happy and excited to go to school every day. Her current teacher is Ms. Weske and she had a such good impression on my daughter that she wants to be a teacher when she grows up.

I would not recommend this school. The old principal Mr. Frankle was AMAZING but the new one is never seen and lacks communication with families. The speech therapist is incompetent and spends most of the speech time doing art. When behavioral issues arise in Special Education they do not offer services to support them they just complain to the parents and expect it to be fixed.

We have absolutely loved our time at Gold Ridge and feel lucky to have our children at this school!

My child started Kinder and did little over 3 yrs at this school. I volunteered each year in the classrooms and observed the decline in teachers engagement as well as the standard expected from students. The principal is more interested in spending resources on "bribe" programs for good behavior and educating students on special needs students rather than the general education of students. If you have an average/above average child with no allergies/alleged disorders/special needs this may not be a good fit for you. The average/above average child is forgotten while others rise to the low public school standard. They also leave classroom doors wide open, which is not acceptable in this day and age.

Awful. This is not the place for the average to above average student. The focus on emotional education and lack of real learning is alarming. The principal is very focused on special needs students which is admirable. However, it is to the detriment of the majority of the students. We lasted K-2 before moving to private school.

The school itself was good. I have a son with special needs and he was in a special resource classroom because the school district told me what a wonderful teacher this lady is and promised me that it was a good fit for my son. The first week there I did a surprise visit (my son is non-verbal) and discovered that the teacher had moved his desk to the classroom broom closet with his 1:1 aide and closed the door so she did not have to deal with him. She said that my son talked too loud in the classroom when she was trying to give instructions to the other 8 students. My son is NON-VERBAL! has never spoken a word in his entire life. The closet had an air-conditioning unit in it with his desk and a chair for the aide. The aide wanted to quit because she could not work in that environment. Worst teacher ever!!!! ...very sneaky and lied to my face. I contacted the state of California and the school district/special ed department. If I put my son in a closet all day it would be considered child abuse...that was the last day I allowed him to attend that school.

BEWARE! Principal is a politician. I agree with previous posters that he is nice. But his assets end there. Watch out for that certain 2nd grade teacher. She destroyed my child's will to learn. You won't find a friendlier office staff anywhere and the parents at this school are wonderful. I noticed several previous negative posts have been erased and only the positive remain......

The Gold Ridge community is fantastic. You will find wonderful parents and the Gold Ridge office staff is amazing! The principal is friendly. But if you have an issue, beware he becomes a politician. He will try to appease you with words while doing absolutely nothing about the underlying issue.

Gold Ridge is a great school with wonderful caring teachers. The Principal is really friendly. Parking seems to be an issue but it seems that way at all schools.

Gold Ridge Elementary school is a wonderful place for kids to learn basic education and new concepts. The environment in the school is amazing. To me following are the key things that make a school successful in building feature leaders and innovators. To me, Gold Ridge is on top in executing these key steps. 1. Experienced teachers to teach required subjects and provide knowledge 2. Good facility to support a school system 3. Using advanced technologies for teaching 4. Grooming students to meet challenging and advanced programs 5. Communication with parents periodically about students and school updates such as common core programs, Academic events, Science fair, Sports events etc 6. Safe and healthy environment Both my kids did their schooling here and we are very satisfied with everything they offer. I strongly feel now the time has come for the schools in California to advance their teaching methods, teaching media and gear towards Common Core. Also teachers need training to adopt to common core style quickly so that student can continue to get the best education from Gold Ridge always!!!

Mrs Kunstel and Mrs Guillen are wonderful Kindergartener teachers. My son is learning so much from them! The first time I came on campus I was greeted by the principal. Very friendly school.

Excellent school. I have 2 kids in K and 1st grades, and both their teachers are exceptional. The new principal is excellent as well, caring, he seems to be on top of everything going around at school. Unfortunately, this is not our home school, I wish our kids could stay there the entire elementary education.

Last yr. we had Mrs. Saxen for first grade. She really went the extra mile with the kids teaching them reading to include coming in early every day to kick start a group of children that were having a slow start. Its teachers like her that motivate our children that really impress me!

Great teachers! at every grade level! Kids have enjoyed every teacher they've had, and love to go to all the school activities.

the teachers are great here. The 3stars are for the teachers and zero for the new principal and his staff. He is a micro-manager and has no management skills.
