All 3 of my kids went to Blanche starting in 2008 and my youngest just "graduated" to middle school. We have loved the small school community feel of it. The PTO is very active and there are many family events throughout the year that my kids always looked forward to. In fact my kids have always wanted to go volunteer to help out at those events even after they left the school to see their teachers and be a part of the community again. The kids know all the kids in their classes and in other grades as well. We've found the staff to be very caring and they've found ways to engage my kids. I've had 2 high acheiving students and one with an IEP and some learning disabilities and all of them have been successful here. Parent help in the classroom is welcomed and it's a fun place to be involved as a parent if you want to. Don't let the score dissuade you~this school has more diversity than some of the other schools and as a smaller school it offers so much more personal attention and a safe environment for the kids.

Blanche Sprentz is an awesome neighborhood school with so much heart. The teachers and the principal care deeply about the kids and their education. When we moved to the neighborhood we learned that a lot of the neighbors transfer to another school with higher test scores but we weren't in time for that. We're so glad that didn't work out! This school is both economically and ethnically diverse, and the school community culture is a wonderfully supportive village. This is the hidden gem of Folsom!

So thankful to be a Blanche Sprentz family. Here is a list of all the things this school does well:• The staff care about the kids, and how they're doing. This translates into personalized learning plans for all kids based on ability. The kids that need help get it, and the kids that are advanced get material that is challenging for them.• The teachers are available to answer questions or open to scheduling meetings.• They make school exciting, and really talk about kindness and empathy.• The parent group (PTO/PTA) is super involved in creating a fun safe environment for the kids with extra activities and events. Families and children can participate in fun events without breaking the bank.• None of the parents play "Keeping up with the Jones" type games.Overall, this school is small and a neighborhood school. This translates into a true community feel. The other families, staff, and kids are very welcoming and open. Very happy to have chosen Blanche. Can't think of a better fit for my children or my family.Bonus: They offer TK and full day K. Your kids will love it and so will you.

This has been the best experience for both my kids. They are currently attending 1st Grade and TK. The teachers and staff are amazing! 10/10
