Overall, this school is pretty good, except for some teachers who like to yell at students. What I find unacceptable is the school security guy. He is a very rude person and disrespectful to others.

JHS185 is a good school and most teachers treated us fairly. Mr.McDonald is the best teacher I ever met in this school:)I wish Ms.Mshar will stay at this school and not retire. She funny and kind....

All the teachers and staffs are super nice and there are many programs at this school that is fun and good for your health.

Teachers are very energetic, engaging and caring. Students are challenged to discuss and answer questions in small groups or through class participation. Lessons are well prepared by the teachers and very organized.

theres a lot of bullying in bleeker. i personally dont recommend if you want your kids to be away from bad influence, theres problems between bleeker and jhs 194 in whitestone which is really close. the kids ofter go to 194 to fight them and the students are really judging towards students from different countries. im colombian and the students in bleeker are mostly salvadorians that didn't accept me and other people that are from countries different to el salvador.

My two sons are registered in this school. They always praise for their class teachers due to their good attitude, politeness and taking care. I have very good experience with office staff, they are so sweet and attend every guest promptly in a very professional manner. Hope this environment will grow further. Thanks for the entire school management and staff members and stay blessed.

This school gives a lot to their students, they might seem harsh at some times but they know what they're doing, they know what's best for their students.

Im in the 6th grade in this school, and i've learned a lot more in the first few months of the school year. I made it into SP this year and i was in a normal class before. It was a quick change for me. Also the teachers are really nice, but strict which is great. The students are also very friendly! All in all, this school provides great academics and good people!

This i a great school. My daughter is in the 7th grade and she has maintained herself on the honor roll. There are many opportunities and activities for kids to get involved in.

I am very, very SAD of my son's decision on wanting to leave this school, I found this school to be one of the best schools in the area, and all I can say is that while my son was attending to this school (6grade) every single staff was involved in his academic studies, discipline, and personal development. Thanks to the principal, teachers and the dean staff that did a great job; my son became more confident, focus minded, and responsible. Although, the other school he will be attending is not bad at all and is closer to our house, I will miss this school a bit time. I wish I can change his mind, but I can't force him to stay. P.S 185 Keep up the good work, you are the best!!!

I fell in love with this school when myself and child when to the open house. My child was selected to attend this school as my child goes his 6 th grade we both see how wonderful is this school . My child loves the teachers and students. The school had alot to offer . AWESOME SCHOOL !

My son loves this school. I'm sad that he has to move on. I wish he could continue to go here through high school. The principal is top notch, on the ball and really gets it. I'm saddened to read another review that a child was being bullied and cried everyday. I feel like that issue needs to be addressed, although my son has never experienced this, that should not happen to any child. He doesn't see fights often either as the other child did. I guess it depends on what grade and class you're in. All around a good education with caring teachers and a friendly environment.

I was part of what was the first class to go all through this school. I moved out to Centerport, NY and didn't complete middle school here. It was a wonderful school with lots of promise and I really enjoyed my time here. From the ratings and reviews it seems to have lived up to it's promise. Is there an alumni site for this school?

the students like to bully my friend and disrupts the class almost eveyday. the deans treat them nicely anddoesnt seem to take any action. my friend cries to me everyday because of how they treat her. the teacher seems to be very caring and understanding to her though. the education is great but the way the principal, dean, and the most students is unfair. fights are also happening almost every week.

WOW ! This School Is Amazing! No School Could Beat This One. JHS185 Edward Bleeker Is The Best School Any Child Could Be Sent Into. It Has Organized Activities That Made School Fun For Every Student Learning In It. My Child (Who Used To Be The Most Lazy Student I Knew) Did Better In School Ever Since She Came Here. All Teachers Are Amazing And Are Patient With All Students. This School Has High Expectations In All Academics But The Teachers Teach In Ways That Are Cannot Get Easier/Better. Staff Treat Kids Wonderfully. My Child Loves This School Which Makes Me Feel Great That She's In A Secure And Fun Learning Environment.

this school is the best school in the universe! boys and girls actually enjoy being here. my child is a lazy student and this school motivated her to good in school. there is a variety of activities that students enjoy. the teachers are excellent. my child was crying it was the last day today. the teachers enjoy doing their job and they do it with pleasure and effort. they explain what kids need to know correctly and they show that they could do anything they can to help a student succeeded. teachers treat students with respect and they have a lot of patients. this school cannot get any better. i love how the school is organized. the staff help students with any problem they have. my child feels really safe in school. the guidance counselor gives excellent advice and that can help each and every student out in the future. there is no negative stuff in this school... its the best of the best! my child describes it a home away from home. i cannot be more satisfied.
