I love having my children attend Wegienka! For the past 4 years that we have been here I have never had a problem that was left unresolved. The teachers have always been willing to listen and provide suggestions on how I can work with them in my children's education. Considering there is limited staff to take care of 430 + students and their parents, I think turn around for questions, needs and concerns are taken care in a reasonable amount of time. I have only begun to get involved with volunteering at the school, but it has been a pleasant experience. What impressed me is that the conversation is lead around parents planning and doing, not just 3 or 4 people making all the decisions on how my fundraising money is being spent. I was surprised to find out that a financial report is given at monthly parent meetings so if anyone wants to question something they can show for their actions. Not every school is going to be perfect and I do wish that the schools overall communication process happened faster. However as a parent I am finding out that there are many ways that I can be responsible in getting the information on my own too instead of just waiting for it.

This school is a second home to me. I love working with such a committed staff. Our Wegienka family ROCKS!! As a whole, we love our children and go above and beyond to meet each child's needs~ Our curriculum is constantly being upgraded to maximize academics. I enjoy working for the Woodhaven-Brownstown School District:)

I think Wegienka is a a wonderful school. The entire staff cares for the students academic excellence and their well being. The PTO that is involved with in the school does so much for the kids. I must note to those who do not think highly of the fund raising, you can not get something from nothing. Our children are blessed to have not only the staff at Wegienka but also the parents that are willing to help participate through the Parent Teacher Organization.

I love Wegienka! The administrator and staff are outstanding. Mrs. Briegel the principal is very friendly. The teachers are outstanding and my son is learning a lot. I brought my son here from another district just because of the reputation Wegienka has. I drive him in everyday, it is worth it. The parent club provides many opportunities for our kids. They had fun t shirts for all students to wear last year.

I would not recommend this school for anyones childern. This school offers nothing that im looking for in a school. We have been at the school for 3 years and it has just gotten worse each year. We will not be back next year!

If you want a school where all you do is fundraise and the majority of the administration and teaching staff are delusional and uncommitted, no communication to parents on things that are relevant to educating their children, where students are undervalued, and the curriculum is a joke, then this school is for you. This is our last year.

Some of the teachers are very nice but the parents and the teachers don't connect.the principal does what she wants top do not letting others have an option.there are no sports no after school activities angst barley no monthly educational events.three kids don't have enough time to eat lunch and my child always complains about this.they keep changing the grading system where it makes org hard for parents sense students to understand what's going on.I would never bring my kids back here.
