This principal needs to be removed! They tolerate bullying that has been going on for more then a year and sweep assaults under the rug! They don’t call you when your child gets his teeth knocked out or seek medical attention for them. Sad when a child doesn’t feel safe at school, and the parent doesn’t feel safe sending their kid to school.

This principal actually tolerates bully’s. Don’t believe what they have in writing or shown in any handbook. Also, if your child gets hurt by a known bully, like getting punched in the mouth and loosing two ADULT teeth don’t expect them to get your child medical attention let alone call you.

Rios Elementary School is the place to be for students and families. Upon entering the school you are greeted by friendly office staff. Classrooms are unique and welcoming. Recently the school received brand new flexible seating furniture. Students have options of couches, standing desks, and bean bags. The PTA is always looking for help to provide activities for students. I highly encourage parents to get involved with the PTA or volunteer activities in the classrooms.

Terrible. There are a lot of areas for improvement. The staff expects children that are experiencing difficulties to use their words when its a repetitive situation. I would love for everyone to “use their words” in a perfect word, but that’s not always possible. In addition, although I am totally on board with resources on campus, I feel this has been a terrible situation for this school, with many staff members unsure of how to deal with situations leading it to become a distraction to the other children. Ie: police on campus etc.

The staff have continued to amaze us with their outstanding commitment and excellence. Each and every teacher who has been with our children has been fantastic. Each has enriched the lives of our kids and made an impact. All positive. All impressive. All heart, all the time. The place they have created is far more than a school. It is an epicenter of genuine joy, of an important life lesson, and love. To try to describe the level of devotion the staff shows would be an understatement.

Having transferred from a sub standard school, I was amazed at the response to my grandsons needs. They immediately identified the challenges, consulted with us and immediately started working with him, keeping us informed along the way. Rios is the best.

A wonderful learning environment. I am confident my child is receiving a quality education at Rios Computer Science Magnet. The staff from TK all the way up to 5Th Grade are committed, dedicated educators. My child is getting 21 century skills and preparing for a competive job market in the future in elementary school.

Last week I attended the Epic Build Showcase at Rios. I couldn't believe the amazing things the students are doing in regards to the coding and computer science. I see computer science integrated into various subject areas. The students are eager to learn and share what they have learned. I am so happy my child attends such an innovative school.
