My experience as a teacher at Agamim has been nothing but joyful. The staff are wonderful to work with, the Administrators of the school often make sure there are team building meetings to allow teachers to work with one another and problem solve. This allows for teachers to build their compassion to their profession and it allows for teachers to make sure the students are getting the best education. Over the years, I have had many conversations with students and their love for Agamim. There is not a day that goes by where students are not only getting a rigorous liberal arts education, but they know day in and day out that they are loved and cared for. Our daily announcements given by the Director is a time where students are given a short seminar about the importance of their education here at Agamim, and a daily reminder that all students are loved, strong, and powerful.

Agamim is a fairly new charter school that has expanded over a period of several years. The environment is friendly but formal, and it has a family feeling to it. Students who have difficulty in larger school environments thrive in this school because they are able to get the support and help they need. The curriculum is rigorous and it is hard work, but the payoff is that the students here show tremendous growth and it is reflected in their test scores. As a staff member, I have always felt supported, and there are many opportunities for professional development and growth.

As a parent, I am astounded by the transformative impact it has had on my child's academic and character development. The school's unwavering commitment to instilling a classical education rooted in timeless virtues is evident in every aspect of their curriculum and approach.

Horrible school, I cannot stress this enough!! The head of school, Ms. Morton is terrible. She’s very phony, lacks integrity, will dismiss you and lie to you up and down and rudely lashes back at parents when confronted with serious problems she’s perpetuating- if you can get ahold of her. She makes no apologies nor takes any responsibility for her poor leadership. She is not an educator but working the classical school model as a family business. Her own children do not attend her school. A lot of the teachers are young and snotty and mean to the kids and do not answer parent emails with valid questions or concerns. The teachers there also don’t get paid well or have the benefits of a pay scales that a regular school district does- so don’t expect the best. A lot of staff are not licensed teachers. What they won’t tell you at the info session is that your child will be sitting with their hands folded on their desk at “rapt attention” all day. I thought it was awfully sneaky of them conveniently not mention such a big school rule to parents prior to enrollment. Expect your young child to have a daily after-school meltdown due to this type of extremely rigid environment. Kindergartners are shamed harshly in front of the entire class if they misplaced their homework going between different classrooms all day. Homework is ridiculous and is often homework for parents. My child was harassed and threatened in the worst ways by problem kids but no disciplinary action was taken by anyone. We got out fast but know others still there who are not happy and planning to leave as well. After experiencing this stressful “school”, I think the classical education model is absolutely ridiculous and outdated, don’t put your kids through that, go to a good district where there are standards that have to be met that ensure child welfare! There is no library, no music, art or gym class. No Halloween or Valentine’s parties, no book fairs, readathons, NOTHING fun that kids love and appreciate. When leadership is bad, no place is good, plain and simple. This place is not your answer.

If I could give it negative ratings I would. They do not enact the virtues that they claim to teach.

This school is very cliquey to the point of being toxic. This behavior starts at the top with elitist leadership and inappropriate people in Dean roles. If they don't approve if you, you are treated like dirt. Dean of students role is particularly sarcastic and discriminatory.

Great! I am so pleased that we switched to Agamim.
