My youngest daughter attended Avail Academy from grades 3-5 and moving her there was one of the best parenting decisions we ever made. Aside from it aligning with our family values, the academics are EXCELLENT. It's a warm/nurturing environment with wonderful leadership and staff. I can't say enough good things about this school. If I could do it all over again, I'd have sent ALL three of my kids there. I highly recommend checking it out.

Avail (formerly Calvin Christian) has been so good for our kids. Expect an excellent education which will be tailored to meet your child’s needs. Middle school is an easy transition as it’s at the same campus. They’re small class sizes with loving Christian teachers. Mrs. Johnson the kindergarten teacher is great and her daughter now teaches math in the middle school- my middle schooler LOVED her. Excellent staff, excellent school. No fishy stuff here- they take complaints/concerns seriously and address them promptly. The librarian even has creative activities to get kids making/doing things outside of the box. She bought a huge “Make-do” set and let them create things out of cardboard with the plastic screws and saws and then displayed them in the library. My kids all like school here, and I know it’s because the teachers all work so hard to make things fun. It’s such a blessing to be able to relate to them from a point of our shared faith. Most teachers start out their conferences by praying. All is warm and welcoming here, with many parents being around frequently and volunteering. Oh, and they teach ice skating in gym class every January!

Calvin's complete staff (from the administrator, to the teachers, to the bus drivers and custodians) care for and support their students. Their transformative understanding of each child being made in the image of God insures that students of all types (ranging from the academically gifted to the academically challenged) are stimulated and educated.
