In my experience, the school has NOT provided a safe environment from racism or prejudice. My 7th grader has reported black students being called racial slurs by certain populations when simply walking through the halls. I love a diverse school population, but this is absolutely not okay or a safe environment for the students.

Honestly, this school was the best ever because of how deeply the staffs care about the student’s education and academics. Totally worth taking! I would definitely recommend it.

I work at this school and have since it has opened. I have taught for other districts and other schools, this school is amazing and I could not be happier. The teachers truly care about the students and the teachers care about each other. It is a great involvement to work it. Wouldn't want to be anywhere else!!

My son attends River Heights and he has enjoyed it. I am happy with the quality of teaching. There's very caring and passionate teachers. Overall a great school in my opinion.

My son attends this school and the teacher quality is very disheartening. His science teacher allows the children to talk very loud and the children are not paying attention to her when she is talking. My son needs quiet time to focus but it is not happening in this class. He has to be here for the special program that is only offered at this intermediate school. If not, I would have transferred him a long time ago. I have spoken to other parents in this program and the science teacher seems to have a reputation for permitting disruptive behavior. There is no discipline going on in this science class.

My daughter attended and loved it. Teachers are caring only issue we had was with the office staff. They were rude to students. Treated them as if they didn't matter. But all in all great school.

The school has been a wonderful experience for my daughter these past two years. She has enrolled in honors and regular courses and with few exceptions, the teachers were on task, motivating and positive. Library resources at the school are minimal. Extra curricular activities are numerous and she enjoyed many of the activities sponsored by the school. Teachers and administrators did respond whenever I called, which is good. Overall a positive experience.

I have read mixed reviews on this site. We are new to this area and was certainly impressed with the architecture of the school, but we have not been impressed with a few of the Staff. No school is perfect, but one teacher specifically concerns me and I fear the school principal is not approachable to the issue. I've seen how the network protects its own. Can anyone please offer information regarding this school?

The school atmosphere is good and I can definitely see why my daughter enjoys school. However, there is a particular English teacher that she tells me that gives her a hard time due to her unorganized ways and condescending tone. I really think the school could be better without her and I'm so excited to hear that she is transferring to another school. After meeting with her a couple of times, I really think the school should reinforce a stricter dress policy since she wears what I would deem inappropriate for the children but acceptable as a streetwalker. But good riddance to wannabe teachers that do not care for any child's future as much as others.
