The school is a great change from the other California school district that we moved from and makes us so happy for the move that we made into this community. Very impressed with teachers and administrators and they all promote a very friendly and inclusive learning environment. Kudos. 10/10

I am so happy that my kids get to go to this school. They have had wonderful teachers all throughout their years here.

The people in their front office are extremely rude. My daughter just started going to this school last week and she was late today and I asked if I can walk her to her class but the lady responded "she needs to get used to it" but my daughter doesn't know the way. I am so mad. This place is terrible. Planning to move my daughter to other school.

This is an excellent elementary school with wonderful opportunities for children to grow intellectually, socially, and physically. Rosa Parks challenges students, which is great. They have a library, computer lab, and after school activities. Yes, they have 100 mile club which encourages kids to get outside and run/walk. Yes, we live in an area that sometimes gets windy and hot. I have had 2 kids in this school and Rosa Parks has always taken safety seriously. If it is dangerously hot and windy then they have cancelled 100 mile club. I also volunteer at this school when I can. My husband and I both work full time. I understand that it is hard to volunteer or attend Family Friday, but that shouldn't mean others can't enjoy it. The principal is actively involved. The traffic lady is WONDERFUL! She is a guard dog for these kids as well as the parents who try to abide by the rules. The teachers go above and beyond their job descriptions to provide a welcoming, nurturing, and positive learning experience. Everyone is entitled to a bad day, and not every single interaction has been the best, but for the most part I have nothing but GREAT things to say about this GREAT school.

Family Fridays are a bit too much, they can hold these to once a month. Kids that parents can't take time off work(kinder)are in class crying because no one showed up. Not all parents/parent are stay at home like this school seems to expect. Also they need to work on the pick up and drop off that is a nightmare surely there is a better way of doing this , just because CNUSD doesn't want to provide bussing as everyone lives less than two mile radius that is still quite a walk for the younger ones. The teachers are good and so far the staff in the office has been good too. What happen to cubbies for lunch pail and hooks for backpacks! This is a newer school! Our child is definitely learning a lot here and we are very proud but this school still has a lot of developing and from how far back the reviews go it doesn't look like they will.

I wish this school PTA thought a little harder about the feelings of the kids at this school. The ladies that supervise at recess are RUDE and MEAN to the kids, I never see compassion from these ladies EVER! They intimidate the kids and it's not right! It's an elementary school with little kids, the school should think about that! Then the PTA does this Grandparents Day at the school which bothers me because my kids don't have Grandparents that can come and I spoke to several other Mom's that said their kids come home upset because they have no Grandparents that can come. Why can't it be an outside of school event like they do for Mother/son, Father/daughter and all the others so it's not rubbed in the faces of kids who don't have Grandparents? I know at least 7 parents keeping their kids home that day, me included because of that event. School loses money and kids miss a day of school. PLEASE think about it and make some changes! Oh and I 100% agree with the lady about 100 mile club, have some compassion for the kids! If you wont get out there in that weather, don't make the kids do it either! Make it 30-45 min instead of an hour when its 90 degrees outside and when it's windy!

My child is in her 2nd year at Rosa Parks. We love it! Can't complain about a thing. Her teachers have been amazing, the office staff is kind and helpful, the parking could be better, but all schools around here are like that, so I can't dock stars. If you stay involved then you can help and watch your children learn and grow. It's been great! So glad to be involved in such a top of the line learning facility!

Rosa Parks - my 3rd grade daughter came in the middle of track d school year, as we left PUSD. Her last 3rd grade teacher recorded poor math scores for her as I was very confused seeing as though her homework grades were A's. From her 1st Month at Rosa Parks her grades seemed to excel and improve almost immediately. This goes to show, that although it begins with good parenting you need the support of qualified teachers coupled with school spirit, and I believe Rosa Parks Elementary Provides all the above. :)

I am so thankful to have my son attend Rosa Parks. His Special Needs teacher Mrs. Nunez is outstanding. She is clearly dedicated to his success and that of her class.

Both of our children attend (1st and 2nd grade). We couldn't be happier with the teachers (we especially loved Mrs. Rife in kinder), principal, and believe that the school is first rate. There is a lot of parent participation and lots of opportunities for after school activities. The school librarian is pretty awesome too.

The only problem I have with this school is their front office. They are extremely rude and dont even acknowledge you when you walk in. Both of my girls have gone to this school for 6 years and its always been the same. They simply dont want to be bothered and are not very helpful. I thought it would change when they got a new principle a couple years ago but nothing did. I have been to front offices of Eastvale elementary, Riverheights and Ramirez and this front office staff has a few things to learn.

I'm so irritated with this school! I don't feel like they have the kids best interest at heart at all. Every Tuesday they have 100 mile club and the kids have to run for about 45 minutes, today is very windy and they still made the kids go out there and do it! First thing in the morning they had 1st-3rd graders out there in the cold windy air. Backpacks were blowing everywhere and papers flying out of kids hands but does the school care? Nope, they were all in their warm offices and just had the noon supervisors go out and deal with it. Teachers were in meeting so they didn't have to deal with it either. I called the office to ask why they were still doing it because my child has allergies and asthma and her only response was that he could go sit in the office while they did 100 mile if I wanted him to. Ya, every kid wants to go sit in the office for an hour and be isolated from their friends. Even the kids without asthma or allergies shouldn't have had to suffer through that! They treat these kids like cattle and it's a horrible!!! Even as I type this I can hear the gusts of wind against the window and all the stuff blowing around outside. Shame on you Rosa Parks!

I have to agree with the parent that said the office staff is rude, mostly one lady and I believe it's the same lady your talking about. I also think it's interesting that our school is so overloaded and the kids are being sent to other schools until there is room for them because there are so many kids here with transfers! How is that fair? They get to fill up the spaces and the kids who should have those spaces are shipped out to a different school. It's ridiculous! My son had to start at a different school last year and than they let him move here like 2 weeks later, it was so confusing for him! I guess the school/principal just doesn't care about what's fair, it doesn't affect them so why bother? But I bet if it was his kid being sent to a different school than the one he bought a house for thinking it would be his kids school, he wouldn't be too happy! Get the kids with tranfers out of there and tell THEM to come when there is room, not the kids that belong there! We're not alone in this, I know so many other parents that feel this way, it's topic of conversation quite often.

the teachers are great but I shouldn't have to feel obligated to buy an X-mas gift, birthday gift, end of year gift and then get SLAMMED WITH TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK! Teacher apprciation week is soo annoying, make parents fee OBLIGATED to buy gifts for 5 days then I FEEL OBLIGATED to pictch in as much as $20 bucks to buy b day gifts and x-mas gifts and end of year gifts. When they retire far earlier than I can, that is their GIFT FROM ME as a tax payer. Unions have BRAIN WASHED everyone to think teachers don't get paid well. Teachers even THINK THAT. I heard one of my kids teachers actually say that to the whole class once. I shouldn't EVER be asked to pay money to any teacher. I actually feel it's wrong. I feel taken advantage. I would have more respect if it was buy supplies for class or collect for a St. Judes. But to ask and collect !0 -20 bucks a student for a teacher severl times a school year is a bit much. Teacher appreciation week should be DAY. We act like they are doing us a favor when they are doing a job we pay them to do very well for about 7 months out of the year.

first off I would like to just state how rude the office staff is!!!! Im sure they are tired of peopleccalling in upset about be overloaded but they give you the run around!! No answers until 5 days before the school starts and they dont forward your paperwork until the day before!! Now we got called to go back to Rosa Parks but were given no specific info. When I called the office I was told that they are very busy because an assembly just got out. Maybe I can call back? Um no....ill hold....I need an answer as to a track assignment. Then they transfwr me to some grouchy lady who answers the phone by saying "what track?" Thats what im calling you for! I said who is this? (Since she didnt introduce herself) then she repeated "what track" I told you lady im callibg you for a track assignment! She sounded like that grouchy monster lady on Monsters Inc. What a way to welcome a new student!!! Rude and unprofessional!!
