Merrick Moore Elementary School has prepared my child for Middle School. She attended this school for 6 years and only had one year that was not as successful as I had hoped. After talking to the principal my concerns were addressed. The following years were the best ever. In all the years my child spent at MME were very productive!! I will never forget the caring teachers at MME!!

Merrick-Moore ES is our neighborhood school. Our child was in kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year. As the pandemic raged, the teachers, staff, and administration rolled with the punches. Communication was always timely and accurate and everyone was easily accessible via email. Like all students, my child received virtual instruction. His teacher regularly checked in on her students and prepared materials packets for pickup. When schools re-opened under Plan B, my child remained in virtual instruction and his teacher assignment changed. While the pace changed, the level of instruction did not. I removed a star only because I feel like our child would have benefited from a bit more differentiated instruction (I do recognize the difficulty in this with the pandemic conditions but feel it is worth mentioning). Overall, we have been very pleased with our experience "at" Merrick-Moore this school year and we are excited to continue our journey next school year.As I write this review, I also caution prospective families against solely relying on review sites when deciding on their child's educational setting. Reach out to the principal and administrators, take a tour, ask questions. Truly attempt to immerse yourself in the school before rushing to follow the crowds to magnet or private options. We have found MMES to be a great school for our child and we would love to welcome you to the Tiger Family! Our Tigers Roar with Pride!
