This is a great school. The teachers and administrators truly understand and show love for what they do they always try to work with the students (us) as much as they can.

I really enjoyed this school, wished I knew about the smaller settings earlier. I would have loved for my son to have done all 4 years there. I would like to thank all the staff for a welcoming, pleasant and calm environment.

The experience my children have had at Durham Performance Learning Center has been a positive one. The teachers and staff are all caring and supportive, they go above and beyond to help their students feel confident and enable them to achieve their goals. The classroom environment is based on a respect between students and teachers.

This is a great school. The teachers and administrators truly understand that students don't learn, work, and think in the same way, and they helped my son succeed, painlessly. In his case, the teacher to student ratio was about 4 to 1. That's better than any private school. My son didn't dread going to school anymore, and will graduate in a couple of months. Then, on to community college, then a 4-year college. This school was a life saver.

Its a great school. They help you through your struggles unlike other schools they don't really focuse on student one on one as much only because there's a lot more students to distract them. At PLC your more likely to get one on one attention.

This is school needs to go. It's not a great school for children. The teachers don't care about the school. The have no discipline for the children at all. My daughter shouldn't have classes with 20 and 19 yr old! Honestly this school should be shut down. The students take pride in being delinquents. And the teachers condone it. My child is overwhelmed by going there. It's hard being a freshmen there. It hard for her to learn while others students are singing dirty and nasty rap and cursing down the halls. And the teachers do nothing about this. Some girls are pregnant and the clothing is very short. I think this isn't a good environment for a child or teen at all.

DPLC literally kept my grandson from dropping out of school. He did not thrive in a traditional school setting his freshman year. At first I was skeptical, but soon realized that sending him to DPLC was a good decision. The student teacher ratio is great and the teachers seemed to be more interested in helping the student succeed. They did not try to fit my grandson into the "curve" or a square peg into a circle, but diligently worked with him to learn despite his differences. His advisor was the best! She stayed the course with him for the two years that she advised him and kept me updated regarding his progress. He will be a junior this year and I hope that things will go as well this year as they did last year. Thanks DPLC and to all those who played a part in helping my grandson to succeed the past two years he has been at your school.
