My daughter is a 4th grade student. The teachers have done an excellent job. This school encourages students' scholarly aptitude and behavior. As a mother, I feel comfortable sending her to Glenn knowing the staff have the best intentions for her.

I cannot say enough positive, glowing things about Glenn Elementary! As both a parent and an educator, I am sincerely and consistently in awe of the dedication, collaboration, and support of all staff, teachers, and administrators to provide students with a quality education that values them as individuals, that involves each family and the community, and that understands and fosters each student's unique abilities and needs.

I am writing this review as a staff and a parent for Glenn Elementary school. I have worked at Glenn for a few years now and I can say it is such a wonderful place to work starting from our Administrator's, teachers and staff. Everyone is committed to making the school a success and the overall work that we do for the students and parents. I have not experience such a great working environment until I started working at Glenn. As a parent, I can say that the teachers are wonderful, committed and all for the students, my child loves his teacher and always wakes up excited for another school day.

The families and teachers here have a lot of pride in the community, demonstrated by their care for each other and relentless pursuit of excellence. Teachers at Glenn go out of their way daily to engage families and meet their students' needs. We have exceeded academic growth for multiple years, have been fully staffed for the past three years and have ample bilingual support for our emergent bilingual students.

I have been working at this school for a few years now, and it has undergone some changes, but needless to say, growth is evident. The school's performance scores have jumped two letter grades, and it is now a "C" school. The school is very culturally diverse, both among staff and students. The parents are AMAZING, THOUGHTFUL, and CARING!!! They put on community events with phenomenal turnout. The staff is caring and always working hard to give their all and their BEST! Glenn is an AWESOME place to work and an AWESOME place for students to learn and grow!

Having taught here for three years, I can truly say that Glenn is a great place to learn and work. The administration leads by example and always seeks to help, never hinder the work of the teachers. Teachers meet regularly to truly collaborate and the entire school takes student progress very seriously. The results speak for themselves with massive increases in student achievement over the last two years. Teachers use data to inform every aspect of their teaching to ensure that children are getting the individualized help they need. There are ALWAYS small groups happening - at the back of the room, in the corner of the media center, in the hallways - because teachers are committed to moving students forward, whether they be a grade level ahead or behind of their peers. Glenn is a great place to be a student or an educator.

I cannot say enough incredible things about Glenn Elementary. We have only been there for two years, but the administrative team (Mr. Hunt is the principal) and the teachers are incredible. The school communicates on a regular basis, the teachers at carpool know every child's name as they help them unload in the morning or load in the afternoon, there are tons of community events, students have some incredible club and afterschool opportunities, and most importantly, students are learning! The diversity of the student and teacher population is a strength here and I can't imagine my child having such a great experience anywhere else in Durham.
