This school is by far the worst I have ever experienced. The teachers here lack the ability to handle any complicated situation. The way my child was treating was absolutely appalling and unacceptable. The ratio of student to teacher is high, and the answer to handling high energy children is to take away recess. My suggestion is to listen to your children and ask alit of questions. Bullying by other children is not monitored as well and they tend to gaslight.

This school was amazing until this year. The lack of care and supervision these kids get a sub par. With a large majority of tenured teachers gone Dr. Tuckers lack is skills as a principal shows. Teachers refuse the nurse to students with no reason other than we are not allowed to let children in the school during recess. They allow bullying when a parent requests a call from the principal she has the teachers call. FIND ANOTHER SCHOOL FOR YOUR PRECIOUS BABY!!!

Staff truly cares for students. Little to no communication about grades or progress during or post-Covid. No report cards for our child’s entire 3rd grade year. No communication when our child was placed in remedial math.

Dr. Tucker is a nice enough woman, but she lacks leadership and a backbone. She doesn’t provide support to teachers or parents. Troubled children are left in classrooms to interrupt mainstream children. The teachers are wonderful with generous hearts, but I feel like they would thrive with better support and leadership. I feel like my children have not reached their potential at Evers. Class sizes are too big with no aides. Physical class sizes are too small as teachers cram in their study material and tables to fit the large classes. The playground is sad. The drinking fountains and sinks are old. Evers feels like the unloved red headed stepchild of Denton ISD.

Evers Park is a school filled with amazing educators who love and care about students! There is a big emphasize on building relationships as well as high standards for academics. While Evers is an older building, it is rich in character and traditions. Many families who have children at Evers were also students here themselves!

My child attended Kindergarten and we were very happy with her teacher and the progress she made. The field trips felt very poorly planned along with some other events, but I appreciate the diversity and focus on working through problems she developed. Happy she attends !

Over the last few weeks that my son has attended Evers Park they have done AMAZING work with my son. I cannot wait to see what the outcome of his behavior will come in the following weeks.

My child has been at this school from kindergarten to 1st grade . I feel like the teachers do not care enough about the students and do not use the proper reinforcements to correct behavior. I have spoken with the teachers and and counselors about my concerns which really doesn't get address properly. The kids often get sad faces consistently without proper reinforcement or explanation while the child will get sad faces, it brings discouragement to the child especially if its for every little thing. I also feel like my child should know more then what is taught , my child is very bright and was even recommended into the expo program. Growing up I attended plano isd and i can tell there is a big difference between their schools. PISD teachers cared, it was not about a paycheck for them it was to generously help students grow and learn to become the best they can be and it has made a diffrence in my adulthood years. I believe this school needs to do more for students and hire teachers that are passionate about their jobs.

My son attended school here for 2 years, K-1st. His Kindergarten teacher was fine, no complaints. His first grade teacher on the other hand was a joke. My son has a lot of trouble reading and apparently wasn't doing near as well as she made him out to be. Now my son who she passed to go to the 2nd grade is having to go back to the 1st grade because of her poor teaching and lack of concern. They also just allow anyone into the schools, they're ID reader is always down and the lady in the front will let anyone pick your child up without having to prove who they are. The only good thing about this school is the speech teacher. She helped my son a lot and didn't make him feel inadequate like this 1st grade teacher did.
