I sent three of my children to Creedmoor Elementary. This is a terrible school in the area. The school was okay when we came in 2006 but it got worse after the first two good principals left. One of my children got hit in the head by a rock from another student at recess. The same child told me about teachers who swore at the children in class. One of the worst teachers was also one of the most awarded. This teacher went from fifth grade to kindergarten and traumatized my son who loved school. He became afraid of this teacher. It was awful. My first two children, now seventeen and twenty-one, made it through, but I had to take my youngest who is now ten out after second grade. That year was bad. There was no homework. The teacher was very harsh with him because he had a vivid imagination and she thought he was “delayed” or autistic without any testing or proof. She ignored the impact of Covid-19 and the school’s poor learning methods during that time. I could say more about the bullying from students and teachers, but the fact that the school is closing down says it all. Pay attention to who is teaching your children because they only have one childhood. We can move on, but they remember and are shaped by these things.

We have been very happy with this school. So many things in life depend on what you, the parent, and the student put into it. Raise your children to respect their teachers and be learners. We have enjoyed the music and arts integration especially.

Terribble no students have freedom of speech bullying is a big problem its only a good experience for teachers and they get mad at you if you make them look bad go to bses.

Worst school ever the whole district is aweful but this school is by far the worst.. They didn't even have school yearbooks.. Should be ashamed

I've been really happy and pleasantly surprised by Creedmoor Elementary. Initially I was reluctant because I saw negative scores online, and went so far as say out loud in my local store that I didn't want my daughter there. That's why I'm compelled to right that wrong, because the teachers and staff have shown quality and dedication. My kindergarten teacher Ms. Layton has been excellent, and my daughter's reading has improved dramatically. In terms of test scores from the school and then considering demographics, it would make sense if scores at the earliest level of education would be impacted by having English as a second language for example. Alternatively, this means many of the children there know 2 languages already and therefore perhaps should be considered advanced. Taking all sides, I have seen some negative reviews online, and my advice would be to take my story as one of many, I'm sure there are also teachers here who are not quality. I would say if you're a parent considering taking your child here, then request a visit to speak with the staff and principle so you can make an informed decision for yourself. That way you don't judge a book by its cover.

We had to move our children a couple of years ago from Creedmoor Elem. The teachers are a hard working and caring group, albeit over worked. The ever revolving principals tend to do what they can, perhaps if the school district would leave one there for a few years they could get something done. But the nature of the enrollees makes the job difficult. A disproportionately high level of students with very limited english abilities, and far to many others coming in unprepared for school, makes the jobs of the teacher impossible. We had some very good teachers when we were there, but they seemed to have to spend all their time trying to bring the underperforming students up to level, and had very little time to spend working with the others. Creedmoor Elementary should be a gem of what is a very nice community, it has, however, become a bit of an eyesore academically.
