My kids have been coming here for a while, and the admin and teachers are extremely kind and helpful. I have not had any issues with anyone. I try to volunteer when I can because they do need more help. The biggest issues people may find here is that it’s in an ever changing area. Meaning kids come and go constantly. It’s not the schools fault. But this area is declining rapidly. Though there are some quality people in this area still, it’s turning into more ghetto too. But that could be anywhere. The school is clean, and do a good job with making it feel new. Every time I go it just feels happy. My kids like it too. The doors are locked for security. They use Grit for their motto and what they teach. I love that. It stands for Growth, resilience, integrity, & togetherness. I’m sure there could be bullies but I have not seen or experienced it. I think the teachers do a good job on trying to teach integrity so that helps. They have several counselors on board and a therapy dog too. But I wished there were more help with grief or support groups too. Some kids like mine had some struggles but we never felt like the counselor helped. They do have a lot of fun events scheduled for the parents and kids through out there year. So we try to attend and support the school the best we can. Meeting families can be harder. Like I said people move from this area constantly, and our kids have had a lot of friends never come back. Eventually we will be moving too. It’s not the schools fault. It’s just the area is not as quality anymore.

My child has been going here for two years. We had such a great experience and teacher the first year. She was in kindergarten. Even when covid hit and the school had to go online I felt like the school did the best they could considering the circumstances. When she went into 1st grade I still felt like the school did a great job at communicating and dealing with our new norm (covid) but I wasn’t a fan of her teacher. She would tell the kids she would throw them parties or give them goodies if they finished assignments but would not follow through half the time. But my child liked her and I felt like that’s the main thing that matter. She’s going into second and I still like this school. They do the best they can at keeping our children safe and helping them not fall behind.

We have two kids here, and I have tried hard to like this school, but bullying is a big issue and little actually gets done. In fact, the way they discuss matters sounds more like they are reading scripts from a lawyer, constructed with deniability in mind. It's been a flip of the coin as to whether you get a commutative teacher or one thats aloof that part of their job is to interact with parents. The good grades one of my children recieves does not seem to match the actually abilities I see in use at home. And as others have mentioned here, things seem to change at a drop of the hat. To end on a positive note, it's a nice campus, the ladies in the office are wonderful and truly care for the kiddos. And there are some really great teachers that go above and beyond.

Not sure how this school has a 6/10. Teachers are always changing and policies and procedures are not followed. Bullying by kids and teachers is not addressed either. The principal is inexperienced and was a teacher in the school herself a couple years ago. Office staff does not seem to even care about the kids. There has been numerous neighborhood posts about how the school is lacking and it just continues. So glad we moved away.

This school apparently ranks as the best public school in the area but that's probably due to the fact that they are still building in the area. This school will be over crowded soon. The classroom sizes are large. The teachers struggle to keep up with this amount of students. Bullying issues were not dealt with even after talking to school leadership. There are better schools in the area that my kid hasn't had any problems with and the teachers are great and interactive with students and parents.

My oldest son has struggled with a speech disability since he was little, not only does he meet with a speech therapist weekly, but his teacher puts him in a small group to target specific areas. I really feel like his teachers notice the little things and are proactive at addressing them.

Love Turnberry! They have done a fantastic job of providing help to my kid who needed a little bit more. Offering two-days a week free math tutoring. I continue to be impressed with the administration year after year.

I love Turnberry my son is autistic and developmentally delayed he has attended Turnberry for 4 years. The staff in the special needs program are amazing. They really care about the students education. Mrs. Losurdo is a gold mine she has improved the education of the special needs so much. Since attending Turnberry he has reached a level of learning that even I'm amazed by. His is intergraded in a regular classroom along with his peers whom have treated him with care and respect. I want to thank Mr. Minnie the principal of Turnberry. He instilled the importance of treating people, all people with respect and to respect themselves enough to put their education first. If I could change anything at Turnberry it would be for my son to be able stay at Turnberry for his 6th grade year . Thank you to all at Turnberry.

Turnberry is a great school! Both of my kids go there and have since the opening day in 2008. The teacher's are all very friendly, the Principal and his staff are very helpful and go out of their way to met your expectations for the kids. They all show lots of pride for the school. I'm a proud parent of Turnberry!

We have been with Turnberry since the day it opened. All of the teachers are awesome and very involved with the kids. The principal is very hands on and values training the teachers and support staff. My son is advanced and each one of his teachers has made a point to ensure his continued growth and has had amazing growth every year in spite going in at a level well above grade level.

We love Turnberry. The principal is very hands on and not only listens to the concerns brought to him, but he actually does something about them. My daughter is going into 4th grade and my son into 1st. We've never had a teacher we didn't love. The PTA is amazing and overall parent involvement is exceptional. We are very lucky to have this as our neighborhood school. My children have grown both academically and socially while attending Turberry.

We Love Turnberry!!! The teachers are wonderful, some even go over and beyond what is expected of them. The principle knows how to get the job done! He encourages parent involvement. The PTA rocks they have great fundraisers and do wonderful activities throughout the school year. We could not be happier with this school.

We chose to enroll our children in this school. It has been the best decision for our kids. They have experienced teachers that enjoy what they are doing. They are invested in the education and well being the students. They have gone above and beyond in helping one our kids that has academic challenges. Our child is excelling, self esteem is at an all time high, this kid is having fun learning, and motivated to keep proving he/she can do more. The staff has been supportive 110%. They come up with new ideas if old ones aren't working any more. They use a variety of teaching techniques in all subject areas to keep kids engaged in learning, and having a great time doing it. They do an excellent job in supporting student's independence and responsibility. The CSAP scores may not be the highest, but they are teaching every child to excel at their level. The parent involvement is super. The PTO has great activities and fundraisers which we need desperately. The parents are welcomed with cheerful attitudes. It is very welcoming and easy to "fit in" with other parents and staff there. We LOVE Turnberry.

My two girls attend this school. The teachers are great. My oldest is in second grade. She was way behind in her class. Her teacher was very concerned about her. Her teacher worked with my daughter, and didn't give up. Know she is at grade level. Thank you so much:)
