This is a pretty great school. Yes, it is a small town so the drama can become an issue but the school itself offers a lot more than other surrounding schools. As a student I have to say that the teachers are really great with helping if we need the extra help. We do not have a ton of options for sports but there is still quite a bit. We are going to be getting more advanced/honors classes which is a huge benefit for students wanting to go to college.

Having gone to school there I can tell you it is not a bad school, however it is seriously lacking in several areas. First, it is in a very small town which of course has it positives, but that also means that the opportunities available are very limited. If a student is not interested in sports then there are very few extra-curricular activities to choose from. This also means that for most students the favorite weekend activity is drinking. Academic choices are also very limited, students are basicly put on one of two paths; college bound or not worth anyone's time. It is very easy to take almost every college prep class in four years. Meaning, you have very few choices. Also, when I lived there, there was no ethnic diversity. I doubt that has changed much, but one can hope. However, it is a very safe place and the town is beautiful. In my experience, the teachers are typically very good at teaching. If you are looking for the best of small-town educations, this may be the perfect place for you. If you want your child to grow up being open minded and ready for the world, you may need to think twice.
