The Lincoln R-2 District is a district that has a considerable amount of nepotism on staff and they "hide" the ways in which they degrade children that aren't in "their" circle. The elementary principal does not appropriately evaluate the staff tenure and non tenure nor hold parent/student information as confidential. The principal graduated from the school but she is not the best leader for the school to move forward. Yes most of the staff and administration has graduated from the Lincoln School district but that is not always a positive in meeting the needs of the differentiated learning style of the current students. The school should empower students not break them down. There is no open door policy to listen to concerns of parents unless you are in "their cirlce of friends...upperclass status." The school board do not attend all meetings during the year and several are noted on open board minutes as being absent more than 3 times per year, every year. They do not listen and assist to parent/community concerns either. Most of them have a immediate family member working as staff, mostly more than one member too. Is this what is best for ALL students in the district?

This a 100 year old small town school with a proud tradition and rich heritage. The principal is great. Most of the teachers have Master's Degree in Education and are dedicated toward helping the kids. The student teacher ratio for this school is 12:1. We're sending our son there next year. Despite budget cuts across the board for public schools, the school has done really well.
