I hate Nagel everyone is so mean there and the teachers and principals just don't care I haven't learned it is really hard when you don't cm from an elementary school in the district.

The most wonderful experience I have ever had in a school. Every one is great. So many extracurriculares and other out of school activities. Lots of electives to choose from and great class structure combined with good teacher makes this a very good school.

It is a very fun environment,although it's a big school they break us up into smaller teams.There are 5 teams for each grade.The teachers at Nagel are very helpful and nice,and there lunches are delicious.Also we have a state of the art facility.So these are all the reasons I give Nagel a five out of five.

The Good: Nagel does a great job of transitioning students from elementary, and making them feel welcome. The music programs, sports and the after school clubs are also wonderful - giving kids lots of options to explore.The Bad: Once your child starts struggling, it's hard to get staff to take a vested interest in helping. Teachers are evasive at best when my child asks for assistance. And when I've tried to schedule meetings with the teachers outside of conference weeks, there is a complete lack of availability. Counselors only give cursory aide. After coming from a Forest Hills Elementary where the staff was VERY involved and interested in my child's success, this just feels like an educational abandonment of sorts.I feel like this school depends way too much on teaching software vs. traditional methods. This leads to tech situations that teachers are not able/wiling to work with the students to resolve. Additionally - while I'm thrilled at all the after school clubs available, there is no transportation available to make these opportunities available to all children.

Nagel is a great school but, after going to elementary where you get treated as a kid, they put you right into nagel and give you too many responsibilities and things to do. I personally think they move way too fast for some people like me. Some people have lots of things going on at home that make it hard to keep up with their pace. If this isn't your child, they are lucky. Other wise Nagel is a great school!

They give you a bunch of homework and very little time to do the homework. But the teachers try to help as much as they can. Its a great school but very strict and hard.

We are very pleased with Nagel MIddle School. The staff is wonderful. They are genuinely interested in the children's academic and emotional well being. The principal Natasha Adams is a very involved leader and as a parent, I really feel like she is our team mate in our daughter's success at Nagel. We particularly like Mr. Varner, the science teacher. He's been exceptional. After coming from what we thought was a good school district in Texas, we have been astounded at the much greater level of concern for our children's well being, the impressive level of academic success and the employment of technology in amazing ways to make sure the parents and students are plugged into everything that goes on at Nagel. We feel like we are getting a private school education in the public school system.

nagel took away a flashlight i used for a project and never gave it back :(

The principal is not very involved. The teacher there are amazing and most parents are it the PTA.
