Everything feels bitter. Whenever I walk in the hallways from class to class it feels like my brain is floating back and forth. It is as though I am in a factory where I am made only to mechanically think

This was a great school for my son. All of the teachers were more than helpful and accomodating with my son's needs. My son was in a 504 for learning purposes and they handled it the most effectively we could have asked for. He had wonderful teachers and counselors making this possible. I think it's unfortunate that the community is split over the Mascot logo, etc. My son personally did not want the mascot/logo changed. I believe we should have let the student population vote but neither side wanted that to happen. This is the community's fault and not the school's fault. Love this school. It was perfect for my son and now will be for my daughter.

Anderson has a lot of flaws that they mask with their achievements. My sister was bullied throughout her time there and the school did nothing to help her. They are more concerned about families paying “fees” and if not paid they could not graduate. I understand that school funds are not close to what schools need, but to demand payment knowing some families struggle financially is very disappointing. My brother who graduated this month 2020 also had fees over 300 that we simply did not have the means to pay especially during COVID-19, but they still demanded payment even though both parents lost their jobs. Among car payments, mortgage, insurance and other bills my parents had to worry about these school fees because without paying them my brother would not be able to graduate. I contacted the assistant principal about this via a frustrated email. The assistant principal Emily simply ignored me. If this school truly cared for their students she would’ve responded.

Anderson High School is an amazing experience from the first day on campus as a freshman to the final day as a senior. The principal and staff are amazing and kind, and the teachers are amazing. The students are welcoming and they have so many clubs and activities that it’s virtually impossible not to fit in. I would recommend Anderson to any other student or parent because it is a one of a kind amazing high school experience.

Anderson presents high test scores, but they gave in to a bullying mob with regards to the mascot issue. It’s absolutely horrendous in the year 2018 to have a racial slur as a team name, and a charicature for a mascot. They venerate a track coach who says “we need to get over slavery,” and who derides Islam. It’s a backwards approach to education, and I wish I’d made a different choice for my children.

Unfortunately, Anderson High School has become an incredibly divisive atmosphere because of the school mascot issue. The kids are caught in the middle and the school board is afraid to do the right thing. If you are interested in a 21st century education for your kids, I would not recommend Anderson High. If you are interested in returning to the 1950's, the days of sock hops, poodle skirts and Chubby Checker, you will probably like it there.

From what I heard and read about the Forest Hills School District, I believed these schools were decent. Wow... What a huge mistake. If you love your children, invest in their future early. Most important years for a child to gain structure is the First through Fifth grade. So do your homework Mom and Dad!

I graduated from this school in 1979 - and I had a very positive experience during my time there.

Believe a parent when they tell you to find a better school. Some parents left the Township so their children could attend the Mariemont School District. Others left because they were not welcome to participate with the teachers at the schools. I miss friends that left and my children miss their classmates. My regret is that I didn't take notice sooner to place my kids at a better school district. Too late...

My daughter has a place here. There are so many programs and clubs for the students to participate in they all have a place. There is such a diverse group of kids with so many talents and so many wonderful kind kids. My daughter went from failing to success in one year both socially and academically because she could join some clubs that fit her. Love this school.

My daughter graduated from Anderson High School, and it overall was not a great experience. There were some excellent teachers, but unfortunately also quite a few who did not seem to enjoy educating young people ... maybe they did at one time? For an excellent rated school, we were disappointed. Perhaps our expectations were too high ... I don't know.
