This school is very good! David is greeting every single child upon arrival and kids just love it. Teachers are loving and caring, they know how to interest kids and keep them disciplined and attentive as well. My child misses this school big time since we relocated last year and would love to come back if we are back in the area. There is always bunch of different activities and events like Carnival and theater plays and kids have a lot of fun. Gentle approach with homework allows children to enjoy school and not to be overwhelmed with excessive amount of homework which is just right for this age. Can say nothing but good about this school!

Everyone at Mercer is super nice. The classrooms look super cute which is impressive to many parents. As a former educator, I wasn't very impressed by the lack of innovative instructional techniques. Much of the reading "program" seems to be whole language focused which went out in the early 90s. The open school building which lacks walls, means there are no chalk boards, and limited white boards. This can cause difficulty for visual learners (over 80% of children are), and means there is a lot of noise.
