My two children both just love this school they especially like the music teacher Mr Folz he has a relationship with my children almost better than my own relationship with them.

Mrs. Randolph is the best teacher ever! She truly cares about her students, and is so understanding. My son loves her so much!!

This school is undergoing a reinvention process. When the current principal took over a few years ago, it was apparently not at all welcoming, but I have never had a problem with getting in touch with teachers or staff since my child started school here. The movement towards being a "Leader in Me" school is definitely pushing the staff towards innovation and the students towards success. I can't wait to see how the changes improve the culture of Cheviot even more.

Cheviot is a growing school community that is very diverse. We are making strides to become a even better school. As of right now we are heading in the direction of becoming a Leader in Me School which we are very proud of. While doing this our test scores are on the rise with the help of all the outstanding work and effort that our teachers put in everyday. I am proud to be a member of this school.

my child has been attending Cheviot for 5 years and this year they are starting the Leader In Me program. It has been very useful for my child. The teachers are also good at letting me know if my child needs help in a class with things they are working on.

My children both attended Cheviot. My son has moved on to high school now and my daughter is still a student at Cheviot in the 6th grade. She has been a student there her entire primary school years. Both of my children have always scored high on all academic achievement tests including the OAA. They are both A honor roll students who are well disciplined and very intelligent. Cheviot Elementary has succeeded in providing my children with a great education. Not only are they honor students they are ambassadors for their schools and show great citizenship and culture in which I accredit to having wonderful teachers throughout the past years. The staff at Cheviot are all caring and nurturing people who truly care about the child and their family.

Left Cheviot school to go to Oak Hills school district and regret it // My children went to cheviot with 2 graduating 8th grade there The principle was the only bad thing about the school yes you had kids who needed more discipline and respect that should be taught at home but school always handled it PTO IS GREAT !!! I miss the teachers and how they cared for the children and the family feeling we got at that school something OHSD dont offer New Principle seems great

This school is decent but some of the staff in it is horrible. It was our first year here at cheviot and we thought the assistant principle was the boss. Me and my family actually had 2 go into the principles office just to meet her. When I first saw the school I thought it was a hostile disfunctional enviroment. But the assistant princaple she is the best. She greets you with a smile, she is a polite woman who acctually wants to know how your day has been and what did you learn....The assistant principle, now changed. My middle school teachers are like a second fammily to me. ..We do soooo much fun stuff and the teachers are like one of us students..Plus the lesson plans are both curricular and fun. Well cheviot over all is a great school and they treat me as if im familly!

I'm sorry to say that the last posting is not accurate. First look at the typing and spelling. Second- I did not know that my child would ever be classified as an animal. I voluenteer at the school and I do not see a fist fight everyday. Instead, I see loving, caring teachers who go the extra mile to help all. it is sad to say that the parents are to blame for their child's behavior. Teachers and the school are not the child's guardian. Maybe parents should participate more in the parent sessions being offered at the school or stay in touch with the teacher about their child's behavior.

I am rating this school at a 0 because the kids learn nothen and very far behind compared to other schools. There is always fist fighting going on everyday at this school and the school does nothen at all.In the moring time it looks like the kids are a wild pack of monkeys coming in when you drop your kids off.How sad is that? Its real sad.
