Our son in enrolled at St. Ignatius and has a developmental delay. I cannot say enough for how much attention, assistance, and compassion he has received from the staff. They offer him services above and beyond what he needs, and I see him being in an atmosphere that will help him succeed to his highest potential within his capabilities. St. Ignatius is a very welcoming school, and despite it's size has a very small community feel. Truly a great school.

Poor academic communication from many teaching staff to parents; attitude that they are always right; lacking required curriculumm and policies; wishy washy discipline with poor communication of the facts; poor leadership from a principal with his personal agenda of what he wants for school and to sell it to parents to make it look good; weak academic support system especially for those with disabilities (although some IS do a good job); you may be told something is being done for your student when it in fact isn't and a whole new story gets told to you; office, cafe, after-school staff and nurse friendly, personable, and caring; nice facilities. Many seem to send kids here as "private" school vs Catholic education, but not all. Look at all the prior negative reviews and I would agree 100%. In early years we had average-good experience, but in past 2-3 years we had a bad-terrible experience. Overall, a somewhat crowded, overly popular, high attitude school, when it really isn't all that! Student goes to public school instead.

We have a 5th grader at St.ignatius. He started in 1st grade. The teaching staff at S.I's is extremely dedicated to the kids. There is an open line of communication, always. The administration is highly involved & always visible and available. For a very large school, there is a very strong feeling of community. The parent involvement is very strong which to me, is one of the most important qualities to the success of the students. The classrooms are a mix of kids at every learning level so none are singled out as "smart," or "not so smart." My son is thriving. 4th grade is the transition year from learning to read to reading to learn. It's the year, in my opinion, that will prepare the kids to be more independent. I had my doubts with a boy who's not very organized, but sure enough, the hard work he was expected to do in 4th grade has prepared him to be more responsible. Thank you, St. Ignatius for creating an atmosphere that fosters the notion that hard work pays off. That kindness is rewarding & creating an experience that will stay with the students the rest of their lives.

I have 3 kids at this school and we love it. I am impressed with the staff and teachers, and the education my children receive is excellent. We love the community of the church.

Our principal starts every school year with the comment: St. Ignatius is a great place to be a student, teacher, and parent. And he is so right. We have been part of St. I school for 12 years, have had 2 kids graduate, and have one still a student. It has been a great 12 years and our boys have succeeded in every way thanks in part to this great school.

I am very excited to have my son start at St. I's next year! We have been involved in the parish for about 8months and are nothing but happy with everything they do there! The school keeps the kids so involved and happy to be at St. I's. The parents are so involved and the keeps for a stog foundation at school! St. I's is an overall wonderful school!

I simply can't say enough good things about Saint Ignatius! They offer both enrichment and programs for individual learning needs. Their focus is on the whole child, and my children continue to excel academically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually! Thank you Saint I!

I have 7 children and so far three have graduated from this school, while 3 are currently enrolled, and I still have one to send through the school. Because I keep sending my children to this school, I can't give it any better compliments. We don't ask for special teachers and we have never had a bad one. Some of my children are very smart, and some of my children have special needs. They are all taken care of professionally. The catholic education is the most important part of their education and it is well represented. Parent involvement at all levels is very much the normal. It isn't all the same people doing everything. We moved from out of town and everyone welcomed us like we were old friends. The parish is just as good as the school. We didn't know anything about the school when we moved here and we wouldn't move to another place.

I went to St. Ignatius from K-8th grade. I LOVED this school so much. I cried when I graduated from the 8th grade. The teachers treat you like you're their own child. I am in the process of becoming a teacher because they made such a positive influence in my life. From the office ladies who greeted me with a smile every day, to the lunch ladies who knew all the students by name, even the janitors, are such an amazing team of people who truly love their jobs. I cannot stress enough how well I was prepared for high school. While some students found classes difficult (in high school), I found it to be more of a review. Their emphasis on service in the community, at home, and even at school made me realize how fortunate and blessed I am. I still go back to St. Ignatius to volunteer and visit because it is such a great atmosphere. If you want your child to grow into a well-rounded adult, I highly suggest St. Ignatius.

St. Ignatius is a wonderful school that uses multi-sensory strategies throughout the school to engage the children so that they enjoy learning. They learn is a developmentally appropriate manner so that they can incorporate what they learn for future development too. It is a wonderful faith-based school that reinforces all that we teach at home as far as our catholic faith is concerned. The teachers are top-notch and are continually learning themselves. I feel so blessed to be part of the St. Ignatius community.

Saint Ignatius provides a solid foundation of learning for kids in grades K-8. This school addresses "the whole person." By that I mean not just the academic and cognitive development of children, but also an emphasis on the spiritual, physical, wellness and social development of their students. Each child at Saint Ignatius is provided an opportunity to develop themselves as a well rounded individual in preparation for the real world. The sense of community and level of community and parent involvement is unsurpassed.

I have three children enrolled at this school - I have one child on a service plan (learning issues, autism spectrum), as well as two above average students. My children have thrived in this school community. In fact, we moved the child on the service plan from a high rated public school to St I's, and this child receives more assistance and services at St I's! All of my children are challenged - no matter what level they are on. And if you have a concern (and as a parent you voice the concern!), teachers and staff are quick to come up with solutions. There is a wide range of activities available for students after school - from sports, to bowling, to chess club, scouts, the list goes on and on. This creates a wide range of opportunities for all children. I think Mrs Hudepohl (who teaches fifth grade math) - sums up St I's very well "just when I think it can't get any better, it does!" St I's offers what so many other schools do not: foreign language program, a large band program, high test scores, AND caring teachers and staff!

Saint Ignatius rooms are bright and cheerful. The physical plant is optimal for setting a great mood for learning. It is impressive that they have so many extra-curricular programs. The wide variety gives each student a chance to find what is a good match for them. You don't have to be an athlete or the smartest kid to find your place at Saint Ignatius. There is a place for everyone.

As an administrator at St. Ignatius Loyola, I'd like to share my point of view. St. I's has an excellent teaching staff who are dedicated and are constantly updating their own teaching methods and practices. Students receive individualized instruction as needed for them to be successful. Our mission is to prepare our students for high school as well as life in general. Well-rounded, educated, happy, Catholic children are the intended goal for our graduates.

My children and now my grandchildren attend St. Ignatius Loyola. It is a great school! They truly look at each child as an individual and provide quality education. Their teaching practices are up to date and data driven. The atmosphere is friendly and supportive. We always feel welcome at St. I's!

I have finally decided to write this after many years of disappointment. As a Catholic Christian parent I do not recommend the school. The majority of parents only socialize with people of their same status, so unless you have money you feel very unwelcome. Also, most families do not attend mass, which makes this school seem like it's "an alternative school for rich parents that do not want to send their child to local public schools" rather than a school to get a catholic education and to learn christian morals. The education is below average. Most teachers do not communicate regularly with parents on their child's progress. Also some students suffer because classrooms are very overcrowded. Athletics are also ran by the parents with money and are very biased. Another issue is that everything from children sports/practices, meetings, & other organizations always involve drinking. I could write more, but I think this gives a good assessment of what the community is like and how poorly the church and school are ran.

I used to love this school and even rave to fellow friends about it, but these past couple of years have been terrible! Thier are no individualized attention and would not recommend this school at all! Please do your research before even considering. If I could I would rate this school an F!

I send both of my kids to this school and they have ADHD. They get personalized programs and a lot of individual help. I cannot express how grateful I am for all the help that they give my kids. There is a lot of communication between parents and teachers which is a big help.
