We attended this school for several years until the principal and ethics of the school changed recently. As long as you have a perfect child that never has a bad day, anxiety attack, forgetful moment, shows any emotion, or has special needs, this is the place for you! St. James is not rooted in faith, it’s greedy for money. This school is a business period.

My daughter loves St. James, since the minute we went for tour. Every teacher is dedicated to their students and truly encourage them to go above and beyond. We are blessed to be part of such an amazing community. Goo Panthers!

All 3 of my children love going to St. James. They know their teachers care about them and truly enjoy going to school every day. The school community is welcoming and supportive.

Fair disclosure, I'm an occupational therapist and have worked in multiple public and private schools in the Greater Cincinnati Area. St James of White Oak is an all around absolutely amazing experience. It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both staff and students of all ages. The teachers are well educated, insightful, and inclusive in their classrooms. I work with both the special education team and the general education classrooms. Both provide a very proactive, child centered, team based approach that I love being a part of. I love this school and am seriously considering sending my kids here despite not living in the neighborhood.

My experience with St. James is that the teachers truly care for the students and their learning. The teachers go out of their way to help all students and they strive to create young adults who will be productive citizens.

I have been a part of St. James School for many years as BOTH a parent and a teacher. I cannot say enough great things about it! Of course, the academics and commitment to making sure ALL STUDENTS learn and grow is second to none but, St. James is even more than that. It is a place where kids learn to be good people. It is a place that cares about its staff, students, and parents. It is a place that loves Jesus and tries hard daily to model that for its students. St. James is more than just a school. It is more than just a place to work. It is a family!

My children had an incredible experience at St. James. They staff is dedicated and caring. The administration is competent and supportive. The community is welcoming and positive. We were lucky to have such a great place for our kids to learn and grow.

St. James is a WONDERFUL school with EXCELLENT teachers. My sons and I love St. James and my little girl will one day attend in the future. It is a kind and amazing community that nurtures learners. There is frequent and great communication from school and teachers. It is a positive and welcoming environment.

I’ve never seen a school as unwelcoming, and frankly racist, as this one.

The school is dominated by cliques. That applies to both the adults and children.

As a parent of two daughters, this has been an excellent experience all around!

My 3 children all LOVE St. James as do I. The teachers truly care about each child's success. Small classes. BEST principal- ever! Down to earth families. No other place for my children

Don't listen to those five star reviews. They are all rated by PTO parents who are showed favoritism by the school. I was bullied on many occasions, and nobody ever did anything about it. It got so bad I literally started crying in front of a teacher, and the teacher told me to get over it. The education is not good. I was struggling in my classes and they didn't even try to help me. All of the teachers have favorites and treat many other students unfairly. The favorites are almost always the children whose parents are on the PTO. They give a lot of homework but don't even take it as a grade. This makes kids want to bs their homework even more and gives them no motivation to try what so ever. The homework thing is even worse for kids who struggle at test taking.

I wouldn't recommend the school to minority parents. My children already recognize racism amongst their classmates. Non-white staff is also little to non-existent. This is not a place for a family in need of a racially diverse enviroment.

The students behave terribly. The teachers show favoritism. Inclusiveness is shunned. Positive experiences are nonexistent.

St. James is not a good school. The students and faculty are very unkind. There is also a very large bullying problem that is ignored by the staff. Academically, the school isn't much better. St. James teachers only cater to the top of the class. Students who are struggling receive little to no help. I would not recommend this school.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this school. I didn't find it to be very friendly or welcoming.

Unfortunately my experience with this school was a very negative one. My child was the victim of some very nasty bullying. Based on what I've heard from other former parents, this is, unfortunately, not uncommon. I hope St. James can make some improvements when it comes to this issue because as of right now, it remains a problem.

I am sending my first child to school here because of the academics. My family is not catholic. I understand this school is a catholic school but welcomes all faiths but I have heard staff saying over and over again- "we are seeing more and more non-catholics...." I don't see a problem with this I am trying to properly educate my child and I LOVE that they start teaching spanish in Kindergarden!! My child has only attended St. James for 1 week and I have seen favoritism to and with parents within the PTO kind of like high school cliques ( I hope this is just something I have misperceived). Also, my daughter whom is a kindergardener has consistently come home upset about comments from older children on the playground. Catholic or not they are accepting any religion and to openly point out religious differences and treat children/parents differently is unacceptable. I am trying to give my child the best chance at a 1st rate education on the westside but St. James also needs to prove that it is worthy of that ribbon whether you are catholic or not. I will update this later.

Positive changes are happening at St. James. The academic excellence which has been a hallmark of this school remains while a positive and welcoming environment has been created. The past is the past, let's look to the future.
