This is the worst school in the city of Cincinnati, the people here are disrespectful and has no manners. The bullying is normalized in this school. If you are reading this, DO NOT GO unless you want to have low confidence and self-esteem. The bullying here is horrible, and the teachers there does not do anything about the bullying there. I am SO GLADD, I left that school. I hope the school one-day shuts down forever.

Midway Elementary is a great school and it has great teachers and other staff.

My daughter currently is attending Midway and my other child attends Dater and the difference is night and day. Midway is a horrible school and I am doing everything in my power to remove my child and get her into a school where they actually care, it took over a year to get her into a IEP and speech. My daughter's class has had to be split during the middle of the school year due to overcrowding. Several instants were she will just have a sub for the rest of the year. It's a mess.

My 4th grade son, a caucasian boy with several learning disabilities was harassed, beat up and severely bullied daily. I don't know if it was because he was a minority being Caucasian, or if it was because he was an LD student and went to special classes separate from his normal classes and peers. As for his teachers taking action to help him and prevent the bullying they would often do nothing and would brush it off by saying it was just one boys word against another. My son became depressed, defiant with me, and withdrawn. It seriously scared me. I have since removed him from that school and he is now attending a school where he is safe. He maintains going to LD classes but has peers and staff who really watch out for this type of bullying. He doesn't get made fun of harassed, and pushed around anymore. He is in a way better school and is extremely happy with the change.

This is a great school. My daughter is in first grade at Midway and the new principal really knows her stuff. The kids wear uniforms and are taught to be respectful to each other and the staff. The teachers are always available for meetings and they communicate through Wednesday folders.

I really had high hopes for this school.Especially since the rating had improved from last year....and i really question that considering the homework my child was bringing home was appropriate for a 1st grader not a 2nd.(Just because they say your child gets 30min of hw that do not mean its up to standard)And I really should have question my decision when after the 1st 3 weeks of school the teacher "discover"my son could read.So after weeks and months of bad communication with his teacher and homework not up to standards.I decided to part ways with Midway in search of a school with small class setting, more instruction time for reading and math, and encourages communication.

My son went to this school for kindergarten, didn't liked it. We are a hispanic family and I saw how we were treated differently compared to other parents/students. The teacher had little patience with him sending notes every single day over silly things until I adviced that I was to contact the board with a complaint bout it, that's when notes stopped. No extracurricular activities what so ever and they didn't try to involve the parents, not @ least 1 field trip at all during the school year of 12-13. My son now goes to AWL where thus fur It's been great. :) would not recommend.
