I myself went to St. Edward for my preK-8th grade education. I was an average student who didn't care much for academics, but I thrived due to the outstanding sense of community the school has along with the life long friendships I developed there. Now that I am an adult with my own children, I've moved from Peoria to the area so they can get the same fantastic experience I had. I'm proud to say my decision was the right one. St. Edwards will forever be the best option in the area for primary schooling. The teachers are an outstanding unit who work TOGETHER to ensure individual success. They work tirelessly to provide the best education to their students in every area- from social skills, to art, to reading and math. Each child is taught to highlight their unique abilities and use those in the classroom. The new multi-age concept really further connects the kids and allows them to be graded on ABILITY not on TESTING. Small class sizes are also a major plus.The parents are well connected through many fun events held by the school and Parent's Club. They have parent mixers, open houses, a jamboree, auctions, trivia nights, and so much more. I don't know any other school that does all that these parents do with their community. And the students are an array of individuality. No kid is the same. There's a mix of culture, religion, family styles, backgrounds, etc that just add to the diversity of the school. They treat each other like family and learn to accept and understand their friends for who they are. Bullying is a rarity (that is ALWAYS ADDRESSED) unlike most other schools in the area. There's issues everywhere- but St. Edward is the one place where each problem is a learning experience that pushes all those involved to be better. I will always appreciate all this school has done for me and my family over the past 20 years. If you're considering it, just come see what it's all about. You'll be happy you did.

The people and staff at the school are very friendly and care about the students very much. We liked the overall atmosphere at the school but the communication and academic standards are less than stellar for a price tag of $3,000+ a year. The school is very unorganized and has very communication with parents. We were saddened after our experience and decided not to return for another year.

I couldn't ask for a more caring and nurturing environment for my children. Along with an excellent education, my children are taught to respect everyone they meet. This is a wonderful school!
