My child has learned far more than we ever could have expected, and has been well-supported socially and emotionally. His teachers have shown great care for him, and his neurodiversity has been accommodated. We love this school and cannot imagine sending our children anywhere else.

LOVE HGES. Our 5 children are truly leased to have attended HGES. Great admin, teachers and support staff. Everyone is like family. Really gonna miss this school.

My child attended Hickory Groove the last two years, since the school opened. The school facilities are great; the administrative personnel is kind and helpful. The Art and Music programs are awesome, kids can participate in Orchestra starting at 4th grade and Band in 5th grade. The teachers are fine, but not great. There is not so much parent-teacher communication unless there is a problem with your child. Class size >25. Kids usually do homework at school; however, I consider that the HOMEwork should be a parent's opportunity to know what our kid is learning at school. My son didn't improve his writing skills, I also feel that he used to write better before moving to this school district (I confirmed this after I got the benchmark assessment results). I think the school curriculum could improve in writing, practicing once a week is not enough; this has to be a daily activity similar to "reading." At the school that my child previously attended, the first 10-15 minutes of the day were dedicated to writing. At Hickory Grove, there are many volunteer parents; I couldn t get involved as much as I wanted because there were too many volunteers that we had to take turns.

I'm very satisfied with my child performance and social interaction, staff are great and cooperative, I encourage all the parent to write their true experience with this school, staff, and expectations from the school.

This is our first year in the district. We are overly impressed. Awesome school. Awesome principal and office staff. While I cannot rate all of the teachers, our experience with our specific teacher has been more than we had hoped for.

Not only is the facility state of the art, but the staff and leadership are excellent. There is a very strong parental presence as well.

i am not happy with teacher atitude towards divresity in school.school facility is good but they need to improve teachers.
