Graduated here in 2017. Very mixed feelings about this school: - met some of my best friends here- teachers were mostly nice and reasonable (some bad ones though)- the occasional fight in the lunchroom and hallways- was not prepared for college whatsoever, had no help in deciding a major or what I was interested in (college counselors also not great)Great student life and never saw a lot of bullying.

One of the best rated public schools in the state. Teachers communicate very well, it is a two way street. Both of my sons graduated from Dunlap as well as myself. People want to drop off their kids and have everything taken care of for them, doesn’t work that way, it starts at home. Both well prepared for life and college after high school. Do your own research, don’t listen to jaded reviews!

My kids graduated from DHS in the late 90s. One of them did great and one barely graduated. The one who did great would have excelled anywhere; they fit the model of what DHS wants and supports in a student. They took advantage of the advanced classes and even earned college credit while still in high school. The other one had ADHD among other challenges. DHS provided no support of any kind. When they failed English Freshman year, DHS offered no Summer school or any other support. I and other parents in a similar situation paid tuition out of pocket and provided our own transportation for our students to attend Summer classes in another district. Why does this matter now? I currently have a grandchild with ADHD and anxiety at DHS. They receive no support from most of the teachers. In addition, there are far too many teachers who cannot even write a coherent email, spell, or use proper grammar. Dunlap School District is very focused on the high achievers because they can use them for self-promotion, but there is much more to the story. Thankfully, my grandchildren haven't been directly impacted by the bullying, but many, many have. A close family friend moved out of the district when her daughter was repeatedly bullied and harassed by a football player whose mother later ran for the school board. There is a different set of rules for students who participate in the big sports.

Horrible drug and bullying problems. Terrible teachers. I suggest you send your children elsewhere.

I currently have 1 child at Dunalp High. My oldest child graduated last year from Dunlap High School. He is currently in college and says he is well prepared for his classes thus far. My daughter is a sophomore is also having a good experience. Not every teacher is super, but most of them are providing the students with the opportunity to succeed in life beyond high school.

I have had 4 children attend Dunlap schools and although I believe they have improved since 1987 when we began, it's still the same in that unless you are really "smart" (as far as getting good grades), then you are left in the dust to struggle alone. Teachers only seem to care about the high honor roll students.

As a student who currently attends this school, i would say that this school is bogus. None of the teachers know how to teach except like 7, maybe, and I'm not even exaggerating. This is by far, the worst school i have attended and i have attended some pretty cruddy schools. The teachers are unfair, bias, sexist, and just not good teachers. And I know that you're probably reading this thinking, oh just another angry student who probably isn't credible and is just in a bad mood but no. All the teachers and faculty are horrible. I would rate them with no stars if i could.

As a student, I can say that Dunlap is not as perfect as made sound. In a parents point of view, it is everything a child could need and more. In a student's point of view, it is a school filled with teachers who can't teach, counselors who won't help, and administration that doesn't care. Most kids that graduate from Dunlap leave unsatisfied with what they learned. Though I admit that Dunlap is one of the best schools in the area, it still lacks key characteristics needed for greatness.

This school is not as pleasing as everyone thinks it is. Tons of the teachers have no idea what they're doing. I could compare DHS to prison, there is absolutely no way i'm sticking around Dunlap so long that my children can go there. I believe that any of the people that move to Dunlap just for their schools needs to seriously rethink that.
